We spent one night in Clearwater during a trip into B.C. We managed to get a room overlooking the lake that had been renovated. The room was clean, bed comfortable and hotel staff polite and friendly. The room had a stove, fridge, microwave etc so cooking wasn’t a problem.
We stayed in room 11, one of the renovated ones.
We’ll stay again when traveling through.

“We loved the position and relaxed atmosphere of this accommodation. Though the cabins are basic & dated, they are clean & have everything you need. The lakeside location with outside tables & firepit is absolutely perfect. The staff are friendly & it is great value for money.”

Avoid at all costs. We arrived late at night and drive-weary otherwise we would have left immediately. Grubby, musty, blinds didn't work, tape over switches and nowhere to plug the kettle in. We had to pull the fridge out to find a socket!

The biggest nightmare was waiting in the bathroom. We were warned the shower was 'marked'; it was painted, cracked, then painted over, cracked...you get the picture. As a result it was full of mould. We were forced to check out at 6am with no shower to get to our next destination and clean up there.

With investment this place would be a stunner. As it is, I'd drive on by.

Our family (2 adults 2 kids) booked a ground level family suite. This had two separate bedrooms and a full kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and new looking but that was about the only thing in the entire room that was up to date. Although clean, the rest of it was not in good condition. The little couch was horrible to sit on and uneven, pieces of the blinds missing so they wouldn't close properly and many other things that were eye sores.

Wifi worked great inside and out.

What was great was the location, lake front rooms. We literally walked out of our room and the lake was right there. A nice fire pit and chairs right out front to enjoy the view.
The public beach with dock to jump off and small park was located right beside the hotel.

The walk out level you can not drive up to room, you have to walk around with your stuff but we were aware of this when booking. Being on the ground level is great to be able to enjoy the fire pit and lake but bad for sound. We could hear every step the people above made which made for sleepless nights as they were up all hours.

The movie Deepwater was filmed here back in 2005 which I thought was a neat little tidbit of info.

I feel the price for this place at $120 per night (low season) is a bit highly priced for what is offered. The view/location was the best part!
