Lisa and her staff couldn't have made me and Oscar more welcome. Stayed 3 nights. Top notch in every respect. Will definately return.

I was there for a weekend and was very pleased by the whole experience: the room was clean and nicely furnished although a bit small. The lady managing the place is extremely kind and always ready to help in case of need; she also prepares a wonderful full English breakfast (you can choose almost anything). The building is located a bit far from the train station and very close to a bus stop, I recommend going there by car, because of the infrequency of the service. The small sized pool was impracticable thanks to the weather, but the garden looks fabulous. The best room is certainly the sitting room, with a piano and a fireplace.

Room Tip: the only room on low ground is small and faces the street

A party of three of us stayed here for two nights in November. We were exceptionally pleased that the b&b offered a downstairs room with walk in shower that was ideal for the elder lady we were holidaying with. Her room was perfect, very clean and nicely presented. We had booked a double ensuite room and on arrival we were offered a twin room with private bathroom. Very disappointed we enquired whether there was a double ensuite available to be told another couple arriving that afternoon had booked it. The owner quickly decided that we could have it afterall and happily we were shown to a fantasticly spotless, comfortable and charming room (although we did feel alittle guilty for the other couple!). Our room had superb views, a lovely sized bathroom with bath and seperate shower! We had never stayed in such a nice and clean bedroom! We are very keen on our full english breakfasts and were looking forward to them here especially as they have a breakfast award. Our first breakfast was freshly cooked however, not much to it! Our second breakfast didnt even have any sausages!! We were very disappointed. Overall, this is a lovely b&b.You feel like you are part of their home but without intruding. They have an amazing guest lounge, and are brilliant with giving local advice on where to go to eat or visit. We would return.

Beautiful family home turned into a 4 star bed and breakfast. Rooms spotless and a guest lounge to die for! Lisa, the overworked (!) owner could not do enough for you. Great location near to coastline including Herne Bay, Margate and Ramsgate, Broadstairs and the lovely city of Canterbury.
Breakfast is included in the stay and what a breakfast. Beautifully cooked, fresh food and so much of it. Options of fresh fruit, cereals, honey, yoghurts etc. Teapot was bottomless and bread and preserves home made.
Safe parking in the drive of the house or in the street and a bus stop at end of road if you wanted to let someone else drive. Lisa and her family were actually going on their own holiday at 5am the next morning but she was still looking after her guests at 9.30 the night before.
Overall a fantastic house with the perfect hostess and would strongly recommend.

Room Tip: Bed in front bedroom very creaky!!!

We were at Cherries in August 2011. it is really superb. They are very friendly (they gave us some home made jam to take away) and the breakfast room looks like you ideally imagine it should be an english bed and breakfast room. Gorgeous Breakfast (continental and British) . Situated in a quiet area not far from the nice village of Whitstable and from Canterbury. Really reccomended both for short and long stay.

Lisa our hostess made our two night stay very pleasant. The Cherries is very much a home from home with a superb cooked breakfast. The eggs are from Lisa's chickens, she has home baked bread and makes the jam to go on it.

There is a pleasant relaxed ethos to the B&B.
