“Golf Society day out”
Reviewed 30 July 2013

An absolutely gorgeous club house, restaurant and bar greets you on your arrival. The Club Pro was very good in his clubhouse and shop and gave some good advice for the day out. Changing facilities a bit cramped but I guess this is because the facilities are listed and cannot be changed?

The Course itself was in sparkling condition even though we had been short of the wet stuff to give it a natural water. My only problem/gripe was the bunkers which appeared to have so much sand in them that you sank into them when entering and the ball always seemed to be plugged.....my fault I suppose because I should not have gone into them!

The fairways were very well marked and kept and the greens were lightning fast but very true to your stroke.

Bar staff were excellent and had a good laugh with us all. And the food, whilst being siomple, was very very good and the waitresses most attentive.

All in all - highly recommended.

“Friendly, fun and welcoming”
Reviewed 24 June 2013

Set in the heart of a Kent Coastal village, a stones throw from the cool, chilled Harbour Town of Whitstable, you will find Chestfield Golf Club.

The quaint, charming and homely clubhouse and patio overlook the 18th green and members and welcomed visitors can while away the hours tasting the local brew.

The course is tougher than you expect, with the prevailing south westerly giving cause for thought on many of the outward holes. Up high on the hills overlooking the sea and surrounding towns it is a clearly unexpected delight to view the wonderful coastline.

A real must for this part of the world, and exceptional value.

Hosted WPGA events and home to Open Week in July. Combine a week away with golf at Chestfield and chill out beachside in Whitstable.

“round of golf and good food!”
Reviewed 7 May 2013

An interesting course with lots of different type holes. Quite pretty on a sunny day and hard enough for the better players. Oldest club house in England with good food and reasonably priced drinks. Played in a Kent Captains society and a good day was had by all.

The golf club is very nice but the toilets leave a lot to be desired, if I had been able to access the cleaning products without anyone knowing I would have cleaned them myself. Sitting in the bar area everytime someone came out of the toilets a nasty smell came out of the door. I dread to think what it willbe like in the winter when the main door is closed. The staff were very nice and pleasant the grounds were beautiful as was the course. It is very expensive to play golf here if you are accepted a bottle of toilet cleaner is not very expensive.

“Oldest club house in use on a golf course”
Reviewed 10 November 2011

Very nice 1st hole but then a route march across a road up a hill to the 2nd hole. Then you are back to a nice parkland course. Strangly after 12 holes you come across a wonderful wooden hut selling bacon rolls and great cakes. After the 17th you have the same route march again.
