Had a memorable and enjoyable trip to HDH for our anniversary. It was so calming and we felt instantly relaxed. Kate and Andy made us feel so welcome and greeted us and our two cocker spaniels with smiles and nothing was to much for them.
The breakfast was 5 STAR!! The eggs were out of this world! We bought some to bring home.
Andy took us into the field and introduce us to all the donkeys, who we fell in love with! We fed the baby lamb who was gorgeous!
The room was beautiful with stunning views and a gorgeous memory foam mattress and four poster bed.

We would definately recommend this B+B to dog lovers and anyone who is looking for a relaxing break away.
We can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: The pink room was beautiful. Lovely bed and stunning views.

We stayed at Happy Donkey Hill Bed and Breakfast over the Easter weekend and loved it. We had 2 couples sharing. The Cottage was immaculate. It comes with 2 large bedrooms, both have an en-suite, a nice flatscreen tv, WIFI, plenty of utensils for home cooked meals. The reception was perfect, everything was explained. we even used the nice log fire every night. The real bonus came in the form of a hot tub and yes, we sat in it every night with a bottle of champagne and some beers. The only thing to be aware of (being a smoker myself) is that everything is non smoking. No one complained however as I only smoke outside.
I would definitely recommend this for a family or 2 couples just wanting to spend a chilled out weekend.

Room Tip: No swimming pool but awesome hot tubs (X2)

Spent a fantastic night at Happy Donkey Hill- arrived in the dark so was so very amazed to see the breathtaking views when we woke in the morning. The best nights sleep I have ever had in a hotel- comfy bed, lovely quality bedding- just perfect. The dairy was brill, furnished to a high standard with all mod cons, light and airy and the best shower I have ever set eyes on. The hot tubs are relaxing and have fab views. And finally the owners are just faultless- nothing was too much effort and everything was catered for- no matter how bizarre. FAULTLESS :)

Room Tip: You can't go wrong here- all the rooms are of a high standard and utterly enjoyable.

Just got back from 4 nights at Happy Donkey Hill. We had three nights in Millers Cottage and one night in the B&B. The location is stunning, totally isolated but only a 10 minute drive from the local village. The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable to eat and sleep in. We loved the games room and gym, used it every day and always had it to ourselves. Think we got a bit addicted to the table tennis!! The owners were extremely welcoming and friendly and made us feel very at ease. Our night in the b&b was very relaxing and breakfast in the homely country kitchen was delicious! This part of south west Wales is somewhere we'd never been but Happy Donkey Hill provided the perfect base from which to explore. Well worth a visit!

Room Tip: The four poster room in the b&b had a seriously comfy matress!

Just returned from a mini-break to West Wales and haven't even waited until the next day to write this review. My partner and I are young professionals who were looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life for a few nights.
Immediately, we were struck by how picturesque the area is. The B&B is situated on a little hill, tucked away from any traffic with a fantastic view!
Katie and Andy were lovely hosts, going out their way to help us settle in -whether this meant taking us to see the donkeys, showing us the facilities, recommending local attractions, showing us how to use the hot tubs or putting chocolate, champagne and Welsh cakes in our room!!
We stayed in the 'Pink Room' with quirky decor and a modern bathroom -really lovely.
We will be back! Our only regret is that we completely forgot to leave our tip!!
Thank you for a lovely few days!
Emma and Evan

Just returned from a 6 day break in The Stables at Happy Donkey Hill. We were greeted on arrival by Katie who showed us around and explained how to use the hot tub. There was everything we needed in the cottage including a good supply of wood for the wood burner.
The location is very isolated and an ideal place to relax and unwind. The view from the hot tub is over valleys and is not overlooked. It is worth taking some crocs or sandals to walk there from the cottage (although they did have some spare if we forgot).
The cottage was spacious and modern with TV, DVD player, CD player downstairs and CD player upstairs under a wall mounted fire. The bedroom also has a massive Maple bath separate from the en-suite bathroom.
Katie and Andy are ideal hosts. They are just a phone call away (phone provided in cottage). Happy to assist you and show you around their farm with donkeys, goats and cats or leave you to your own devices.
The cottage is ideal for a romantic break or a place to unwind.
I can't rate the place highly enough. We would highly recommend.
