An incredible site, really a class above. We travelled to Cornwall from Hampshire in our vintage campervan and received a warm welcome, a flat pitch (Some have a small slope, easily levelled) and facilities to write home about, incredible clean and well kept. I believe the fee to be low, but the owners want to remain competitive with nearby sites. Situated at the top of the hill the Polruan side of the Fowey estuary, a local foot passenger ferry connects the two. The nearby Lantic Beach and Hall walk are well worth a visit. A quiet site with numerous rules (which boil down to leave things as you'd like to find them, and respect the site and your fellow campers). Visits from a local veg van, hot food van (mondays and with a well stocked site shop. Clean toilets, hot showers, hot water at washing up point, grey water and toilet disposal. We used the electric hook up and free WiFi, I can't recommend this site enough.

The site looks immaculate and staff work hard to keep it that way. Spotlessly clean facilities.
However, the 3000 rules and numerous signs and placards are annoying and patronising beyond belief !!
Campers are too afraid to laugh or talk above a whisper ! It's such a shame, their neverending list of rules in pursuit of "perfection," have just made the site feel sterile and unfriendly. The view, which is heavenly, is spoilt by 4 trees that should be cut down to hedge size behind pitch 9. The site is at the top of a sheer hill which would be no problem other than the fact that most holidaymakers here are walkers and after a day of strenuous walking, food in the Lugger Inn is a must, however, when we tried to book a taxi we were told that the only taxi driver likes a a drink of an evening and knocks off at 6pm!!! To have to tackle that hill again after a meal and a couple of glasses of wine, was a nightmare The town or campsite needs to organise a late shuttle bus for peak season - people would pay I know For these reasons I would not stay again.

We visited on our tent for a week; returning after a 16 year break. The weather was rubbish but the site was superb! I have stayed on many sites but none were as immaculate or as well presented as this one. Despite the incredibly wet weather, the owners managed to keep the toilets and showers spotless; the shop was really well stocked and we never felt crowded. This is definitely a site for peace and quiet rather than music and screaming children. The coastal path is spectacular and the walk to Polpero a challenge but well worth it; definately get the bus back!

We stayed at Polruan Holiday Park for 6 days in our vintage campervan and awning. We had a flat pitch, (some have a slight slope but are easily levelled). It is a real gem, spotlessly clean and well maintained. We availed ourselves of the electric hook up, free hot showers, hot water washing up area, WiFi, toilets, freezer pack service, grey water and toilet disposal, but not the microwave or fridge. There is a well stocked and reasonable shop on site, washing machine, hairdryers and tumble dryer (for a reasonable additional charge). Situated at the top of the hill above Polruan with great views. Dog friendly and a credit to the family that run the site, I can't praise the site or their dedication highly enough.

We stayed here a year ago and returned last week for two nights of a short tour of Cornwall. This remains one of the best campsites we've ever been to. It's small and friendly, absolutely immaculate and with spotless facilities. It was fully occupied when we were there but the pitches are so well arranged and spacious that there was still plenty of room and privacy for everyone. The walk downhill into Polruan and the ferry to across Fowey is lovely...it's the walk back uphill you've got to watch! The site is an absolute credit to its owners. We had another great stay.
