My daughter and I decided to visit the Polar Bear's Spa Club on a Wednesday afternoon, as we had heard it gets over crowded on the weekend. Well, we absolutely loved it! Very polite and helpful staff. Beautiful erea, great place to relax. Highly recommend.

My bf and I went to the Polar Bears Club this afternoon to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. We were not disappointed. I'd been several times across the river to the Spa Bagni which is much smaller and wanted to try the bigger spa this time. We were happy to use our 2 for 1 coupons. Two admissions (for the price of one), with 2 towel rentals, 2 bathrobe rentals, and water cost us about $85. The other guests were friendly and respectful, thankfully no kids were there when we were, we're just not tolerant of them. It was freezing outside, -10 with a -18C windchill and it was our first time in the winter at a spa. No problem! After warming up in the dry sauna, my bf insanely jumped into the river, then we went into the salt water hot tub. After that, we just meandered through each hot tub and sauna, including the eucalyptus steam room. The hot water hot tub with a waterfall/grotto was especially romantic for us. We spent some time in the relaxation rooms and nearly fell asleep in the second floor loft room with comfy couches and a fireplace. There was even an outdoor fireplace where we warmed up a few times. We never felt cold, the whole experience was relaxing and for us, romantic.

The staff was courteous, refilling our water bottles when necessary, replacing our wet/frozen towels 4 times throughout our stay, and a guide to show us around, who btw, spoke to me in English, which was refreshing.

My only very very minor criticism is that the ladies locker room could be bigger with larger lockers. When we were leaving, I had to wait for a spot at the mirror with the hair dryers, and it was impossible to secure a tiny corner on the bench for my things. Like I said, minor criticism, but more room would have made this less frustrating when I was trying to get ready to leave.

We will definitely be back, and we are telling our friends they must go.

I visited this spa for the first time on Saturday Jan 18 after skiing that morning at Gabriel. I found it amazing. My wife and I had a couples massage. The staff were very friendly and professional. I briefly tried out the various pools and steam rooms and was impressed. Will return for sure for a longer and more leisurely day

they warned us about not leaving any worthy things in the locker rooms, so we left our phone and our wallet at the reception. When we came to the locker rooms I realized that my watch is still on and my friend had a camera with him. I never thought at such place something can go missing, so I've put my watch in to the pants pocket and outside we did some photos of the river with a camera. Last 20min we took the camera back to the locker room and went once more to sauna. After we came back we wanted to dress up, but my watch and friends camera were both gone! We reported immediately at the front desk, but they said there is nothing they can do and that they can only call the cops. After they did so and the cops didn't come for 20 min, they said that usually the come really quick, so I guess this is happening quite often. Customer service didn't care much what just happened, so here are some questions for the managers: WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING THIS 'WANNABE FANCY' PLACE, BUT ON THE OTHER HAND YOU CAN'T EVEN PROVIDE THE SECURITY?????

You have a surveillance camera and I'm sure you can find out who it was, because there were just a few people at that time at the facility down the river. I was there on 4th of January, around 5-7pm.

Second question: why is your customer service said to us that is not allowed to walk outside bare-footed and that we need to buy flip flops (from you of course)? Well that's a good one..if you want to increase the sales if your flip flops. If I want to walk bare-footed, than I can do it if I want!

Third question: I've seen many spas and saunas already, but this was the first one where you needed to buy or bring your own drinking water for sauna. So apparently you just have no idea how important is water when you are using sauna. Of course your business strategy would be that each can bring by them self or simply buy a few bottles from you and spend an extra $5. Why not!!

You better find your pick-pocketer, otherwise you'll scare away all the customers and give me back my WATCH!

This unfortunate event can occur in any public places, a police report is a standard procedure in this situation and we do our best to secure and advise our clients not to have any valuables with them (as it was mentioned to you).

To wear sandals is mandatory as a security policy and for hygienic reason and we mention that you need to bring sandals on the phone, at the reception desk and on our web site. We have wood decks, and we secure the site with salt wich lowers the freezing point and can bring a lot of discomfort to your feet when you walk outside.

The water bottles are sold for 1.75 taxes included and we have refill station, you can also bring your own water bottle if you wish.

I understand that you were really deceived by humankind after that loss but It is a pity that you were not able to find a single positive point to our establishment .

We had a very good time at the Polar Bears Club last Wednesday. This Spa was the first spa I ever visited, long time ago, I have been there 3 times, and after been at the Finlandais (Rosemere) both Spa Scandinave (Mont Tremblant and the Old Port) Spa des chutes de Bolton, Spa La Source (Rawdon) and many more around Quebec, I was able to notice that unfortunately this spa needs some urgent maintenance work, mostly the men’s changing room. There is only one shower, one toilet, the lockers are very small, and here is no place to leave your winter boots, like they have in other places I’ve been. Other than that, the spa is a great place, it was quiet and as usual the views are great. The services was good, both on the phone and at the reception. The massage therapist (Sylvie Lessard) has the touch, she is excellent!

Thank you for your usefull comment, we are opened for more than 30 years and have two men locker rooms, one smaller that you experienced and another one in the other building that is a lot bigger. We are planning to refresh our men's locker room eventually as our mandate for the last five years (new administartion) has been to give a facelift to our infrastructures. We did the women locker-room last year, we did open two new relaxation-areas, we have a complete new salt hot-tub , We changed our decks troughout and installed outdoor fireplaces. As you can see we are taking seriously the comfort of our customers and will act on improving our services.

It was my second time at the spa. As I live far away ( 9hrs drive ) I don't have the chance to go often. My first time was in 2012 loved it so much i wanted to go back right way.

This time was different the staff was not friendly at all.. We got there at 6 as were trying to ask question she gives us a price n is charging us right away not once they mentioned if we waited about 15 min we would save a bit of money since at 6:30 - 9pm is cheaper.. When she gave us they amount thats when we didn't understand why it was so much..since theres was 3 of us and we had a 2 for 1 coupon. She then mentioned about the 6:30 if we wouldn't of notice or didn't do our research about the price. she would of charged us full amount we would of got scammed.

the security guy told us really rude and yelling at us ( he made more noises then us ) to keep quiet in the cold pool and said theres ppl getting massage up stairs and they can hear us. Ok I know my dad was in a bit of a shock when he got in the pool since it was is first time doing this but theres Better way to say then yelling and being rude, like come on were all adults here. When working with the public you need to be professional and not treat your clients like were no one. I paid a lot of $ to enjoy this experience again.

A lot of kids that night.. I know i cant control that but a lot of noises and hard to relax ( where is the security guy now?? ) my first time at the spa was way better and we booked a room upstairs we had the chance to enjoy it more since it was open later for us.. And we could have access to the spa earlier then the public that was great.. Staff was friendlier back then

Love the scenery, the hot tubs are awesome, the new relaxing room with the fire place is great. My fav is the steam sona

Loved my experience with the spa but not so much with the staff... And I've notice a lot of comments the same about the staff being rude.. ( only one of the staff offered to give us a tour of the site since it was my dad's first time and he had no clue what to do or where to go.. She took the time to show us the map out site located at they reception building in a -40. And explain to us how to get the full benefits of this experience. If i could remember her name id write an awesome review for her very nice n helpful in a professional way only one there )

I want to thank you for your review as it brought to our attention that our service at the reception desk and on the site that day was not to our usual standards. I will look in the matter to make sure that this situation doesn't happen again as our primary goal is customer satisfaction.

My hubby and I had a wonderful time at the Polar Bear's Club. The three parking lots were full so we thought that we would have a difficult time because it would be overcrowded, but not at all. It doesn't seem very big from the outside but it is quite a large spa. We had bought a deal through Tuango (2 for 1) and no problem whatsoever at the reception. Excellent and pleasant time for both of us. Lots of polar bear goodies to buy in the reception area. We bought a beautiful towel and tuque. At the end of our day, they gave us each a eucalyptus tea candle in a cute Polar Bear Club box, very nice touch!
