We booked the Club Level room, stayed on the 17th floor. We had a great rate as well. Includes the normal cont. breakfast and evening snacks. Had a very nice view of the city. Club Lounge on the 21st floor has a great mountain view.

The room has been updated, I don't think any further construction was going on as it was very quiet for the couple of days we were visiting.

All the staff were very friendly, professional and assisted with any question we had about the area.

I would recommend this hotel, has a small pool and hot tub area that is partially covered, the fitness equipment is good the universal gym wasn't .

Enjoy!

I used Priceline to get a good deal on this hotel as an alternative to the much more expensive hotels in Vancouver and Burnaby. A bus stop is across the intersection and the Sky Train to Vancouver is a few miles away. Just pick up a $9 day pass at a nearby store and you can leave your car in the garage at the hotel ($6 per night).

The room was great. It was extremely clean, up to date and comfortable. The in room coffee maker is even stocked with Starbucks coffee. The view on the mountain side of the hotel is spectacular. I was very pleased with the accomodations. I wasn't charged for anything extra and the newspaper was free. For a quick and cheap breakfast we just headed one block over to Tim Horton's rather than eat in the hotel restaurant.

The hotel is undergoing renovations but we didn't hear any noise at all or have any inconveniences. The swimming pool was closed but we weren't going to use it anyway. However the very nice workout room adjacent to the pool was open.

When I stayed there, there was a lot of construction. We could not get any sleep because one of the ropes from the construction banged against our wall all night. It took visits from four different staff members before they determined that it was not the air conditioner. No swimming pool, areas sectioned off, and access to a few other services, is understandable during construction, but when a person stays in a hotel, motel, hostel, whatever..., you should at least get to sleep.

Staying at the hotel right now, typing from it from the 9th floor, there is construction going on and its so annoying! The pool and hot tub are closed right now, so is their gift shop they say.

The rooms are expensive and nothing is included with them. No fridge, no microwaves, nothing like that, bring your own! You do get a hair dryer but thats about it. Cable is included without charge that I know of. There is a deposit you have to pay, sometimes up to $300, and whatever you use (internet, etc.) is subtracted from that and you then get the remaining back when you check out.

You pay $4.50 for bottled water in your room, when online it says "free bottled water" you pay $11.15 or $11.25 (says $9.95 but thats without taxes) I think it is for internet a day, when most places give you free internet!

And free breakfast? Forget about it!! Its $14 a day for breakfast! The restaurant they have in their lounge is $29.95 per person to eat. I won't be trying that as I won't be eating their breakfasts! Everyday when they make your bed they try to put room service order signs on your bed to try to get you to eat their meals and pay, a little pushy!

And don't forget to cancel your newspaper or you end up paying .50 cents a week day for it and $1.25 on Sat. for it, you think its free until you read the back of your hotel card slip.

Parking is a pain, its gated and you have to use the intercom after 8pm to get in, reading reviews on here it says $6 for parking, I didn't know that before reading this and now I have to go look into it. $9 for valet parking I read a sign for.

The beds are nice and comfy but my neck kills from it, great view, you can choose mountain or city. And there are game systems you can use but those cost money too. Really I don't know what *isn't* an extra little charge here.

The doors are loud slamming, can hear everybody's in the hallways around. Heavy metal doors. You can hear the next rooms over's water in showers and such. And ice and pop machines are every other room so prepare to travel for it. There's 3 elevators but 1 of them is broken so it takes forever to get anywhere!

Customer service is nice at the front desk, had a few difficulties checking in because I didn't have a credit card, I guess its a pain if you don't have one, they kinda expect everybody to have one in the world I think, but they were very willing to work through it. One person at the front desk remembers our names and asks us how our days are, she is friendly.

They charge you for everything and the room is $144 or so a night, these things should be included! I am not pleased with staying here! Cheaper hotels down the road that included things for free, not for hidden fees!

I stayed here with a friend while she was on a business trip. This hotel is being renovated so note that there is a good deal of construction noise happening and that the pool is closed. If this is a concern for you, it would be best to call the hotel directly to see if this construction is still taking place.

The room was very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The hallways were fairly quiet even though there were a lot of conferences and at least two sports teams staying there at the same time.

There is a restaurant/lounge area in the lobby as well. Prices are a little higher (to be expected) but the food and drink is good.

There is a also a little spa with a very homey feel in the hotel. When I was there, the very young esthetician was working by herself and even left for a few minutes to answer the phone while doing my pedicure. The spa is not fancy but it is reasonably priced. For anyone interested in acrylic/gel nails, there are a plethora of cheap nail shops to choose from in the neighbourhood as well.

Across the street is Guilford Town Centre, a good size mall. A five minute walk away from the hotel is Anducchi's restaurant. This place has huge portions and very reasonable prices--definitely worth going to. You will see a McDonald's in a strip mall--walk towards that and Anducchi's is a few feet away. There's also The Pantry restaurant and Red Robin located very close to Guilford Town Centre.

Keep in mind that this hotel is not in Vancouver and it takes a little effort to get downtown. The Surrey Central sky train station is about a 10-15 minute bus ride away, and then you can catch the sky train downtown from there. A day pass is $9.00 and it takes about an hour to get into town. If you intend to spend most of your time in Vancouver, it would be better to stay in the city, even if you get a really good price at this hotel.

I would definitely stay here again if business brought me to Surrey.

I stayed here for one night while attending a function at the hotel and was surprised at how nice my room was. The bed was a very nice king size sleigh bed in a corner room with the great Sheraton Sweet Sleeper linens. One thing I noticed right away was that there was no mini bar. This is a plus for me. I hate looking at overpriced food sitting in a basket next to the TV. The TV was quite large and had lots of channels. Even though this hotel sits on a very busy intersection there was really no traffic noise to speak of.

At check in I was given an upgrade to the Club Floor which entitles one to afternoon appetizers and beverages and a complimentary breakfast in the Club Lounge. The food was very nice--tasty, fresh fruit, toast, pastries, bacon, sausage, potatoes and scrambled eggs as well as juices, cereals, yogurts and Starbucks coffee.

One negative about the hotel is that you need to use your key card to access all the floors and the sensor wasn't working too well--lots of people missing their floors and riding up and down trying to get the elevator to stop at their floor.

Even though the hotel has been recently renovated some of the room decor was looking worse for wear. Peeling and ripped wallpaper and unfinished wood on the windowsills were not sanded but painted over leaving a rough finish.

The restaurant in the lobby has really good food and very nice choices on the menu. Try it out.

All in all a great stay and I would definitely return.

Stayed here for one night to visit Vancouver. Got a great price through Priceline (75% cheaper than staying downtown Vancouver) and the hotel exceeded expectations. Much about the rooms and common areas seemed to be fairly new. It was a short drive to park and take the train into Vancouver and breakfast the next morning was great. After we finished they were setting up Sunday Brunch and I wish I hadn't already eaten...it looked fabulous! I would stay here again without a doubt.
