“A relaxing getaway!”
Reviewed 28 March 2013

I just got home from the Pacific Inn and am sooo relaxed. I had no idea we had a little slice of Mexico just half an hour away from Vancouver! The service was amazing and friendly, my Atrium room was clean and welcoming and I cannot say how much I enjoyed just sitting on the balcony in the heat and sun, reading my book looking out over the pool and gorgeous view below. I ate at Manyana's restaurant for breakfast every day and had two dinners there (excellent). My other meals were taken down in lovely White Rock by the sea (just a 5 minute drive). I also had a hot stone massage at the hotel's spa - one of the best I've ever had, and went shopping at Grandview Corners mall which had a huge selection of stores to choose from - also just 5 minutes drive from the hotel. Thank you Pacific Inn for a wonderful stay. I'll be back!!

Room Tip: I was in an Atrium room on the 3rd floor which was on the "non-sunny side" meaning that I...

The gym equipment looks like equipment from the 1980,s, and when you pay 2013 price you expect somewhat modern equipment....Great people from the White Rock area, and would love to live there someday! Food pretty good, rooms good, but would be impressed if they upgraded the gym, shouldn't cost that much to do!!

I arrived at this hotel in the middle of the night due to flight times. We were checked in quickly and got to our second floor room which was situated above the restaurant. The curtains in the room would not close however at 2 am I wasnt interested in having a hotel staff come and fix it. At 6 am the noise started - there was a phone that rang almost none stop (no one was able to tell me where it was from). The restaurant was very noisy - (no fault to anyones it is a restaurant.) That day i asked a staff member if we could move rooms to which she appeared uninteresetd and took numerous annoyed breathes while she "dealt" with our problem. I told her i would try another night as she didnt seem thrilled about relocating us. When we returned to our room at approximately 6pm our room had still not been made up (the maids never did get to our room that day) - there was only one towel in the room (even though there were 3 people listed on the reservation) - the curtain had been fixed however the fridge still wasnt working. The second night/morning was just as noisy - the phone rang non stop starting at approx 5 am and the restaurnat noises were just too much to take. I asked again about moving rooms and was told that they could move us to another room however again it seemed as if the young girl at the front had better things to do - at that point i asked for my bill and checked out - we checked into the Oceanfront Hotel on Marine in White rock and were given unbelievable service with a room that blew the Pacific INn out of the water.

This is a great place with a few minor issues. My room was ice cold when I arrived, and it took 24 hours with the heat cranked all the way up to reach a cool room temperature. There is one little electric baseboard heat register clear at the end of the room next to the window trying to warm the space. When you first go in, the beds look really lumpy, but that's just the filling in the bedspread.

There is in-room coffee/tea plus a nice refrigerator. The restaurant serves decent food, and they have a very large Sunday buffet that is not over the top gourmet-wise, but nice enough. We had a memorial service in their Rumba Room, and it was a nice large space. The internet rate was reasonable. We got the 'wedding rate' since there were so many of our family members staying there, but they said that didn't include the breakfast, so if you wanted it, you ended up paying the Internet rate. The included breakfast was served in the restaurant - 2 eggs, hash browns, meat, toast, coffee.

Because it backs onto the main road coming in from the United States, some of the rooms might be noisy. The ones on the inner courtyard over the pool might also be noisy, but people with kids might enjoy the pool view. There are plenty of other rooms in quieter areas.

The pool and hot tub looked okay to me, but I didn't go down there.

I would go back there.

Room Tip: Away from the highway, not looking out over the pool rooms are quieter.

Overpriced, understaffed and outdated. We are no longer patrons of the pink palace......enough is enough. Hair in the bathtub, blood on the sheets... horribly outdated decor..... The restaurant is disgusting ...yuck. Pool dirty and no attendent and no towels. A call was made to the front desk we were told to come get them ourselves or wait until the security gaurd starts his shift at 10 pm .This place is decrepit & needs a major update...very 80's decor..needs paint, carpet. Very overpriced and sad. No staff...no service. And for the price?? Well no one is here to hear the complaints anyways .......... Pathetic . :(

...and would be with some "upkeep", it's a shame it's not being kept up.
The location is great, not far from the White Rock Beach, just up the road from the border.
The pool and hot tub are nice, the dinner at the reastaurant (Manyana) was very good, we had salmon and schnitzel. Staff was friendly, room was adequate and clean, just wish some obvious "fixes" would be done including repairs and updating around the entrance.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that overlooks the pool, no road noise...

We live not too far away so did not 'stay' here, but did attend conference here. Staff very friendly and helpful. Locals lovingly call this hotel the 'Pink Palace'. The location for meetings is very convenient for our American members...just across the border on Hwy 99. Hotel is also just a short drive away from the beach area of White Rock...the pier, shops and great restaurants.
