We checked in Saturday afternoon due to a hotel switch. The original hotel we booked had misleading information on here about location. They graciously let us cancel, so we found this hotel much closer to our saturday night destination.
The gentleman at the desk when we checked in was polite....no complaints with customer service there. The rooms were reasonably clean, quiet...no issues here either.
So we check out at 11am & head to White Rock. 3 hours later we return to the hotel after we realize, neither of us packed the things we put in the fridge. The gent at the desk called up to housekeeping, she was just in the process of doing our room....so I went up to empty the fridge. I was told there was nothing in it...the icepack was on her cart. But the room attendant insisted it was empty besides the ice pack. Back to the desk, where the desk attendant argued with me, questioning if we already packed it. No, thats why we returned...he proceeded to second guess & defend the staff to being trustworthy, long time employee....this is the treatment I am most annoyed with...being told I emptied the fridge & they have no idea what happened to the stuff. Simple, someone took it. But to accuse us of lying about it was a first. I have stayed in many hotels & the odd time left things. Those things were always returned when I inquired.
Good thing it wasnt valuables.
