I really enjoyed staying at this hotel! The rooms were awesome and big, and there was free internet. Some of the "awesome" features from the hotel rooms mentioned earlier where things like: separate rooms of the beds, and how the TV was in front of the bed so you could lie down and watch TV instead of sitting on a sofa. Another big thing was the kitchen! it was awesome how you could cook stuff without even leaving the hotel room. Also i liked how there was a balcony and you could have a view of Mount Currie! i like the location since there was awesome skatepark, and dirt jumps. Too bad i didn't have my bike with me :p and there was a McDonalds right across the street to, so that was kinda cool. Soooo yeah i think this hotel was pretty awesome, if anyone read this review you should come check this review out!!!

Dear Vitaliya Jr.

We're pleased you & your family enjoyed staying at our hotel! The 2 Bed Rm Efficiencies are "awesome" for Families. The kids can watch the Big flat Screen in the main Rm or largest Bed Rm. A sepearate bed Rm is great for mom & dad; & there is even room for the Grandparents on the Queen Sofa Hide-a-Bed. The quality free internet via WiFi we provide is expected by most of our young clientele. A real kitchen makes a family feel at home - from the cooking smells your mom made some "awesome" meals.

Next time bring your bike & skateboard if you have them as the Parks are only a block away; & if you come in warmer weather take your little sister to the Kids Water Park across the street. I know she'll have fun.

I had the opportunity to visit with family who stayed at the Pemberton gateway village suites in August. There was enough room to have 8 of us sit around the dining room table to eat and visit. The room was very large, bright and inviting. Its more of a living space than a hotel space. Very modern and clean. The hotel is a minute walk from the best coffee shops in Pemberton. And there is a restaurant in the building that serves incredibly good food. Lots of covered underground parking. the hotel is conveniently located at the intersection of Highway 99 and Portage road with two gas stations and the tourist information booth on the other corners.

Dear Serenity: We appreciate you taking the time to compose a review. We couldn't say it better: "Large & bright spaces" at the hotel. Yes, we have space for Families. Our 1 Bed Rms are almost 450 sq ft & come with a big dinning Rm table & 4 chairs, extra chairs on request. Yes, we think our location is convenient too, with a Restaurant in the building & another across the street, a bakery, cafe, Tourist Info' Centre, gas stations & their convience stores. The Town starts here.

We found the room to be well priced and was even given a great deal to extend our stay at a discount. Room was very clean and well stocked. One suggestion since there are fridges is to include a few real cream in the fridge for morning coffee instead of the coffeemate option. Loved seeing natural bath products in the washroom as well. Will recommend this place to everyone. Thank you!

When going on a trip to the Whistler / Pemberton area of BC, friends in the area recommended we stay at Pemberton Gateway Village Suites. Everyone said it was good so we decided to give it a try.

We were definitely not disappointed and would love to come back for another stay. We were met by Manager Myson Effa. There’s no lobby here—I liked that. Myson immediately and personally showed us to our room. The rooms are not like staying in a Paris or New York suite. These are suites that offer up just what you need and no more. Spotless. Snow white linens. Very comfy bed.

The rooms are very clean, high ceilings, some with balconies (we had one) with some great views and beautiful sunsets, and all for a great price.

The suites come with separate bath/shower, WiFi and a complete studio style kitchen. Oh yah, and a Large LED TV, on the wall—nice when I want to laze around and do nothing.

We feel welcomed here. We come to Pemberton a lot to see our kids who live here, and this was our first stay at the PGVS. Parking is at the back of property. No pool or hot tub, but the Pemberton Community Centre has a huge pool and saunas. PGVS is just on the edge of the town, a short drive or walk.

There’s some good restaurants in Pemberton too, so if you don’t feel like cooking in your own suite, there are several to choose from. The Wood (great for breakfasts and lunch), The Pony and the Mile One (for the best Burgers in town.) The One Mile is located on the bottom floor of the PGVS. And for the best coffee (every morning please!), breads and pastries—you can’t beat the Blackbird Bakery.

Nothing beats Pemberton’s surrounding beauty— magnificent wilderness, majestic mountains, lush forests, pasture lands, organic farms, gorgeous lakes and rivers.

And there’s an organic market every Wednesday—with fresh local produce.

Dear Marli
We're pleased that your friends recomended us & that you were not disappointed. We look forward to you coming back for another stay. 'Ela, Head of Housingkeeping appreciates you noticing her work.

Note: Pemberton Community Centre, out our back door & across the street has weight rooms, showers, free kids waterpark outside in season, but no pool nor sauna. They were on the comunities wish list but not built. We are a short walk or drive from Mile 1 Lake with a sandy beach for swimming. The Whistler Rec' Centre 20 minutes down the road has a large olympic sized pool, a kids pool almost as large with whirlpool, hot tub, & wet & dry saunas.

Thank you for taking time to write a review.

Whistler area hotels are expensive, so if you don't want to blow your entire vacation budget on your hotel and if you want to conserve your cash for other things, like a fabulous dinner or some local shopping, staying at PGVS will afford you a quality, yet cheap suite to stay in.

My wife and I visit the Pemberton Valley every year to catch up with our kids who live and work out here. This year, we visited in mid-summer rather than our usual Fall visit in October. As the house was already filled with visitors, we had to stay at a hotel. One-month stays can be quite expensive, and our kids recommended the Pemberton Gateway Village Suites (PGVS).

In a small village like Pemberton, it's hard to find a nice, inexpensive place to stay. So we were lucky that our kids recommended PGVS. They called it “the best cheap hotel in and around Pemberton” and said that it is rated well by people who have stayed there, and costs less than $110 per night. Monthly rates are negotiable too.

My wife and I have traveled all over the world, and when we research hotels, we choose our hotels by looking for a place that lots of other people think is good and where we expect to get a good value for the money we spend.

I think the Internet is brilliant for gathering information, but when it comes to researching and finding value hotels on the Web—especially those in small towns—you really can’t trust most of the hotel revues you find on the web. Competitors, employees and disgruntled former employees can post reviews, positive or negative. Even worse, a few unscrupulous individuals engage in a form of extortion, posting bad reviews of properties and asking for money to remove them. It's also worth noting that people are more likely to take time to complain than they are to praise and that almost any place to stay and/or any traveler can have a bad day.

Lower-priced hotels have long been the realm of lobbies outfitted with worse-for-wear furniture and industrial carpeting. PGVS has no lobby. So on arrival, you go to the second floor office of hotel manager Myson Effa. He shows you to your suite. It’s all very simple. At only $110 a night, don't expect to be pampered — this kind of hotel is all about functionality, comfort and simplicity.

Designed with a specific traveler in mind, I think that leisure and price-conscious travelers will find it a more affordable option than staying in hotels in pricey Whistler just 23 km away.

PGVS offers some features for that you don't find in many value-rated hotels in British Columbia, including spacious rooms with 9’ ceilings, fully equipped kitchens, heated bathroom floors, incredibly comfortable queen sized beds, and free wi-fi. Our suite was big and we had our kids over for dinner one night. The suites can accommodate two to four guests very comfortably, making it a particularly reasonably priced option for small families or groups.

All this with a convenient location too, located across the street from the Blackbird Bakery, our favourite place for great morning coffee and baked goods, the Wood Restaurant and Pony Restaurant, our favourite eating places in Pemberton, and the Mile One (just downstairs from PGVS, with terrific tasting burgers.
