We booked this place for an overnight stay while on a backcountry ski trip. The rooms were clean, spacious and quiet. We stayed in a two bedroom efficiency that easily slept 6 people. The kitchen was clean and well equipped.

The Mile One Diner downstairs is a great place to eat. The burgers are delicious and the craft beer selection extensive.

The perfect overnight stop on a busy adventure.

Dear Robin Jane. We're so glad you & all your friends all had an excellent backcountry winter ski trip. Yes, our 2 bed Rm Efficiencies easily sleep 6. The well equipped kitchens are great for group cooking, but its very tempting to just head downstairs to Mile One. We agree it's a great place to eat, the burgers are delicious, & they have an extensive selection 25 craft beers. Soon there'll be wine on tap. We're glad, too, you found the rooms clean, spacious & quiet.

Thanks for taking the time to write this review, & for booking with us.We'll look forward to you & all your friends coming back for another Backcountry Winter Ski trip, & Spring Skiing too! I checked out the WebCam at Cayoosh today (link on our Webpage). There are at least 9 groups of Skiers & Sledders up there within the camera frame alone!

Tucked under the clock tower, this was a real gem of a find for us when we arrived tired but happy from Whistler. Away from the crowds, we enjoyed a lovely suite; clean, roomy and great views of the surrounding hills, trees and pristine snow. The kitchenette gave us an opportunity to return to the experience of preparing and eating a meal as a family unit, and the quiet village surroundings meant we were in the land of nod before our heads hit the pillows. Great experience.

This was a lovely find in a charming town. The manager was great and very knowlegable of the town and provided wonderful recommendations. The deluxe one bedroom was a suite that was warm, cozy, clean and quiet with amazing views. My boyfriend and I came to ski in Whistler which was only 32 miles away on a beautiful drive. This cute boutique hotel is also located next to some great eateries that we were very impressed with. Although the room comes with a full kitchen so you can make your own dinner.
Although this town was way too cold for Los Angeles folk, the heating and amenities kept us very warm and cozy. You can't beat the value and the service offered here! We will definitely come back!

First time go to Whistler.
Good suite for family.
2 queen size beds (one is extended from a sofa) and a big kitchen.
There is a grocery store nearby, though the price is little expensive.
Just on top of a restaurant, which, according to the manager, the best restaurant in this town.

Dear Charlotte & Family..."A good place to stay near Whistler" we couldn't agree more. We're only 20min away.2 queen beds (one is extended from a sofa) in our 1 bed Rm Suites & a big kitchen, as we can see from your 1st picture.. The 2 Bed Rm Efficiencies have another Queen Bed making them good for families. The nearby grocery store is little bit more expensive than the city but way less costly than Whistler -& open very conveniently till 9 pm. Yes, we're just on top of Mile One restaurant & which according to the manager, me is the best restaurant in town, but don't take my word for it; it's rated #1 of 20 establishments in the area by your fellow TripAdvisor users. Good picture by the way of the neighbourhood. Under the pictured Water Tower next door, in your 2nd snap shot "View from Balcony", is another good restaurant The Wood & beside it BlackBird Bakery. Across the street just out of frame is Mount Currie Coffee Company too.
Thank you for making the time to write this review & post a couple pictures for your fellow travelers.

We rented a 3-bedroom suite for three nights in Dec 2012. If you're expecting something fancy, this is not it. However, given the frontier character of the town, this hotel was a great place to stay.

The 3-bedroom suite actually has 2 bedrooms and a queen bed plus sofa bed in the living room. When the two beds are deployed, it's hard to move around. There's one bathroom. Although the hotel's web site describes these features accurately, I think I would give the hotel five stars if it was sold as a 2-bedroom. I guess this is a case of mismatch expectation.

The manager Myson was friendly and helpful. One day, my Honda Pilot 4x4 got stuck in a roadside ditch 2 miles out of town. I called Myson, and he found someone with a tow truck to get us out for a very reasonable US$80.

My favorite part of the hotel is its location. Pemberton is 25 min from Whistler and the hotel is co-located with one of the best burgers restaurants in all of Canada. This is pretty amazing since this town is at the boundary between civilization and wilderness. I would definitely stay here again when I come back.

Room Tip: Ask for the 3-bedroom with a balcony.

Dear AQ Nguyen & Family

Thanks for the kind words: “Charming hotel in a charming little town” we couldn't say it better! We appreciate you taking the time to write. Reviews are helpful to other travelers, especially when they are descriptive like yours. Thank you for accurately describing the setup of our 3 Bed Rm Efficiency Suite. We're glad you enjoyed your stay & will be back. Yes, the Hotel is "co-located" with one of the best burgers restaurants in all of Canada - Top 1 of 20 on TripAdvisor for Pemberton: Mile One Eating House.

Good Room Tip: Asking for the 3-bedroom with a balcony (with a view of Mount Currie too).

Hope to see you & the whole family soon, maybe this Summer.

PS: Please Drive that Honda Pilot 4x4 carefully, remember family is "Precious Cargo". We have Dave Banka of Pemberton Towing's number handy but hopefully won't need to call again, a least for you :) lol
