“Warm welcome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 September 2013

I chose this B&B because of the glowing reviews of others on this site, and wasn't disappointed. The location is wonderful (though cloud and rain restricted views of the scenery) and the welcome from Magrit was really warm from the outset. The place has a very homely feel with lots of nice touches such as a kitchen for guests stocked with all sorts of coffee and other beverages, the room was great and the breakfasts were delicious and filling! What more could I ask? I have already recommended Greenwood to others, and will be back myself!

I have stayed at the Greenwood Inn a number of times this Summer and have always thought this bed and breakfast was perfect. The location, above the village of Pemberton is quiet and restful and very easy to find. Margit prepares a great breakfast which is always delicious and her staff are friendly and make you feel at home. The guest rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable and the en suites are stocked with a good selection of towels, toiletries, a hair dryer and everything you might need for your stay. The beds here are very comfortable and the bed linens and towels are clean and very presentable. I will definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Greenwood Inn in August and enjoyed everything about it. The spectacular scenery, commanding views from the large back decks, well-considered set-up up of the B and B were all appreciated. Margit is an excellent hostess and I will be sure to recommend her inn to others. We were driving back from the Okanagan and taking a long, scenic route back to Vancouver. I'm glad we chose to stay in Pemberton rather than Whistler. Pemberton is a treasure-trove of interesting places (hikes, incredible scenery, organic farms and restaurants)--and much, much slower paced than Whistler. Thanks, Margit, for helping us discover some of what Pemberton has to offer.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 1st floor are private. There is a nice shared mini-kitchen in on the main floor and ea...

My darling partner suggested a weekend away and not wanting to brave the USA border crossing wait we thought we'd try golf and a stay in Pemberton (about a 2.5 hour drive north of Vancouver). Normally I'd find our hotel but this time my lady made the choice from the BC Bed & Breakfast guide - and a good one it was. The Inn (maybe more in name than reality) is both spacious and highly decorated with native arts and crafts. Although the owners were away, the Inn never missed a step with Ruth in charge. Our welcome was warm throughout our stay and the breakfast she prepared us was tasty and very healthy. Our room (#3) had hand painted decor on every wall, a very comfortable jacuzzi bath tub and spacious shower. The highlight is a very private balconey off the bedroom, overlooking Pemberton Valley and Mt. Currie. With 2 wonderful golf courses only 4 minutes away, The Greenwod Inn should be on the "to be considered" list when looking for a golf holiday within the Vancouver BC area.

My friends and I came from Vancouver to start our Trip through Canada, we were looking for a place to stay arround Whistler. That´s why we found Margit.
The Greenwood B´B is the perfect place to stay, the location is just awesome, you have a beautiful view down the valley from the deck and inside a great big living room with First-Nations-made objects. Margit´s hospitality was excellent, a delicious breakfast, that fills you up for the day, everthing you dream of. The rooms are very nice painted and spacious. It felt like home. At least we enjoyed 2 and half months of staying at the Greenwood B´B, a wonderful time....hard to say goodbye...

We are a mature couple. We stayed just one night, and regretted we couldn't stay more.
The place is beautiful, the room, and the house in general, are arranged with great taste and given a touch of exquisiteness. Margit, the hostess and owner, is very friendly and helpful. She finds time to exchange a few sentences with every guest and gives a genuine feeling of cordial welcome. And the breakfast is freshly prepared each morning, tasty, and served on a veranda with a magnificent mountain view.
We'll sure recommend the Greenwood Country Inn to all our friends who will plan to stay in the region. And if we happen to pass through again, we'll certainly think of no other place to stay.

When ever I am in the Whistler area, I make a point of staying at the GreenWood Country Inn. Margit and her friendly staff always make an exceptional effort to make sure I feel at home. The food is amazing, the premises are spotless. The views are breathtaking.
The Post and Beam construction of the home is beautiful!!! The home is as breathtaking as the views that surround it.
My job has me travelling all over western Canada, the Greenwood Country is by far my favorite lodging.

Room Tip: The bathtub in honeymoon suite has an amazing view of the Pemberton Valley.
