We lucked out with a beautiful September day with Alan and Toddy and their diverse guests on this 5 hour cruise. Alas, we only saw the tail of one whale, but we saw sea lions and seals on the small islands of rocks and bald eagles in the trees. We also saw a mama bear and two cubs. Toddy and Alan really know the Broken Group Islands and the habits of the wildlife. They did their best to find wildlife for us, at one point chasing a whale (reported via walkie talkie by other whale tour operators - they have quite a connection!). Being seasoned veteran fishermen and tour operators, they entertained us with history, a bit of fishing politics, and First Nations lore. Highly enjoyable and I would do it again. You don't need to spring for the Norwoods lunch; because we were going to Norwoods for dinner, we opted to bring our own picnic which worked out just fine. It did get choppy and cold in the afternoon, so dress warmly because you might get wet if you're outside. Toddy always has coffee and tea available in the inner cabin in case you get cold.
