Great retreat all year round! In winter it is a quiet relaxing place to unwind!

We stayed 3 nights here as part of our honeymoon! The staff were very welcoming to us - and looked after us well :)

The view was amazing! The shower was incredible and the bath very relaxing! Probably the most lovely bathroom we saw on our honeymoon! Very clean and looked after hotel! We had a room with dishwasher, grill, stove top...etc. which made it very convenient to make our own breakfasts or meals.

The lounge in the evening is a great place for cheaper food than the big fancy restaurant. Lovely chilled atmosphere. Nice selection of drinks :)

I can't wait to come back again! Hopefully next time we will stay for longer! :)

Room was amazing, overlooking the stormy ocean..we were upgraded to a one bedroom but unfortunately had to move due to a leak in our shower..not the end of the world...all rooms have a small fridge, stove, kitchenette with dishwasher, everything you need!

Bathroom was amazing with a view of the bedroom and ocean in your soaker tub...huge walk in shower.

fireplace in the bedroom and living room, large sofa and chairs...

We spent hours alone in one of the two hot tubs in the pouring rain! Nice spa and workout area...

this a a very romantic place to be!

We will be going back for sure!!

Room Tip: pay the extra and get the ocean view, it is worth every penny!

Amazing is the only word to describe the Black Rock Resort. The hotel, views, staff, restaurant and spa are all simply amazing. Storm watching was perfect from the hotel, and the rooms are stunning. I have visited before, and will continue for many, many years. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Hotel was overpriced for what you get, Restaurant and lounge did not have many of the items on the menue. The front desk staff were excellent. All of the walking paths were very well maintained and easy to navigate,

Since a bad experience (at another place) several years ago, I have avoided this type of large resort. BC Ferries offered a great package deal and we chose to go. I was delighted to find that the service and quality were everything I would expect from a resort of this caliber.
We chose to stay in one of the out-lying buildings. This resulted in the resort being unable to comply with our request to have hot drinks from the lounge delivered to our room. This isn't meant as a criticism but rather an observation of the limitations to service if you don't choose to stay in the main building. We used the hot tub and I was very favorably impressed with the cleanliness of the change rooms. I found the staff overall to be both friendly and unobtrusive.

See above comments. Restaurant quality requires huge improvement, as does housekeeping. Kudos to front desk and Fetch staff. Dog hair in room. Needs chef on site. Spa and gym both very nice. Doubtful we would return.

The one-bedroom suite was beautifully appointed and spacious with stunning views from all windows. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We received prompt and courteous help from the maintenance man when we called the front desk. The in-room safe was much appreciated for our laptops when we went out. We loved the option of having a restaurant, lounge, fitness room and two outdoor hot tubs onsite, and enjoyed using these amenities. We loved our stay and wanted to stay longer!
