“The yurts are awesome!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 May 2014 via mobile

We stayed in a Yurt at Wya Point and loved our stay! Very comfortable with everything we needed supplied. We slept peacefully with the sounds of the ocean. Had a nice campfire in the evenings.

We would definitely recommend Wya Point and we are planning another trip soon!

I stayed in the yurts here before and they are a lot of fun..rustic but with everything that you really need. The BBQ was great and it was so nice falling asleep to the ocean. We loved the wood burning stove in the yurt, and there was something magical about driving through the rough forest road to get to the yurt. We are coming back soon to stay in the new luxury lodges so I can't wait to try those out.

It is a bit far from Tofino but if you plan on surfing at Long Beach it's a good place to stay. the beach out front is more strolling and letting the kids play in the sand but it's still a great location.

We spent three nights in one of the lodges at Wya Point in early January. It was nothing short of spectacular and the perfect end to a hectic holiday season. We watched from the lodge as the kids (7 and 10) tired themselves out on the beach all day (yes, even in January). There was so much to explore with the various beaches and we were just a short drive from groceries, etc. in Ucluelet. The lodges were well-equipped with everything we needed to make meals and discreet service daily. Sunrises and sunsets were breathtaking! This resort is definitely something special and unique from any of the other resorts we've stayed at in the area.

we stayed in the one bedroom cedar lodge with a spiral stair case. it was almost brand new and meticulously built, true craftsmanship! the view was stunning and the sound of the waves lulled us to sleep all for 175 bucks a night winter special. its our new annual tradition don't miss out on this place no matter what the rate

Room Tip: be careful climbing on the rocks along the beach we almost fell in

The lodges are practically brand new! So new, in fact, that several are still under construction nearby and the strong, fresh scent of cedar still hits you when you enter the lodge. They have clearly worked hard to create a seamless, luxurious experience for their guests. Every detail, from the surprising first step out of your boots and onto the heated concrete floors to the velvety soft inside of the duvet, feels splendidly extravagant. Despite the luxuriousness, we realized that if we had brought another couple - or two - with us the price point would have been well within even a small travel budget, and the two bedroom unit with a pullout couch provided more than enough space for 4-6 people or a young family.

It was a highlight of my #VislandGetaway in Ucluelet!

Room Tip: Each lodge is uniquely architected with beautiful first nations art and a view of and access to the...

Thanks for taking the time to post a review of your stay. We are so excited to have four of the nine lodges complete as they are a fantastic option for families and couples looking for a romantic winter getaway. They are truly something to be proud of. Glad that all of the effort that the community has put into the them is noticeable. We hope to see you again on your next Island getaway!

I stayed at Wya as part of a special group event on a very stormy fall weekend. I spent the first night at the of the walk-in beach front site, and then moved into a warm and dry yurt with a couple of friends for the second stormy night. Both locations were fabulous. With the rain and mud and our large group (as well as other visitors), the washroom facilities were always clean. And the shower facilities at the yurts were nice and warm! At the walk-in tent site, wheelbarrows were provided by the parking, making it super easy to take gear into the sites. And the yurt was fabulous, equiped with everything we needed, but still feeling like we were 'out there'. You could stand back from the beach (in a safe spot) and watch the storm waves crash in. It was great!

our family of four, one attending college the other in grade 8, needed to re connect and do some rest and relaxation with added group activity of Hiking. This had it all the convenience of Camping without bringing camping gear. The Yurts are equipped with all the bedding, heat and spectacular view of Westcoast Pacific Ocean. The staff were great, we arrived late got key from Thornton Motel at Ucluelet, Mary Lou provided us with Map of Yurts so finding it late at night was not a problem. There is water in the room and they replace it in morning if needed. The bathrooms are close, and are heated. We went in beginning of Oct. rain sounded nice on yurts, and sound of waves was soothing. If going in off season its pretty quiet and peaceful. its off the grid, so had good family regroup discussions, be sure to bring rain gear, something to read, and explore Westcoast, also bring your own cooler for cold drinks as there is no fridge. We asked for extra sheets and Joe Thompson Brought us some, nice friendly guy. He knows the trails and area so well. Will be sure to return for another family adventure.

Room Tip: We were in number 6, it has its own driveway. ( all of them do)
