“A wonderful stay”
Reviewed 24 November 2013

My best friend, her 10 month old, and I took a road trip to a few places on the Island, culminating in a 5 night stay in this resort. We stayed in one of the boardwalk lofts (the High Tide), and it was marvellous. It was quiet and spacious, and the kitchen was well equipped, which meant we didn't have to eat out every night (though there are plenty of nice restaurants in Ucluelet that we sampled by choice). The location is lovely - it's about a half hour walk to the centre of the town with lovely shopping and places to eat, and the rainforest/coastal starts just behind the resort and is incredible. There are also a few beaches nearby to do some great storm watching. The hot tub on the deck is stellar, and had we been travelling without the baby I might have lived in it. I would absolutely stay here again!

We came here for our "mini-moon" and really enjoyed ourselves. The unit we had was clean and spacious. Close enough to Ucluelet as well as Tofino in order to go for dinner or do some other activities.

The reason why I'm not giving the resort 5/5 is because we had some issues with the hot tub and the jacuzzi tub. Firstly, the hot tub temperature was set way too high and both of us ended up with burned legs - the maintenance people came to fix it the next day after we reported it, but this shouldn't of been an issue to start off with. Secondly, the jacuzzi tub tubing hadn't been cleaned in a while. I filled the tub with water and turned on the jacuzzi and all of a sudden the water turned brown and had a filmy white foam. Not particularly pleasant.

Overall, we really enjoyed the resort as it is in a beautiful location and the units are wonderfully furnished. Highly recommended.

This was our sixth stay at the Terrace Beach Resort. As always - and I'm not kidding - we came over the hill and the sun was out bright and beautiful. Literally dumped off our gear and proceeded to the Amphitrite lighthouse. We stayed in the Eagles Nest suite, one of our favorites - cozy, clean, and very private. We used the barbeque and hot tub many times during our stay and took evening walks along the beach. The staff was terrific as always and knows us now which makes for a special experience. I would recommend this resort to anyone that wants a real west coast experience - from the rustic quaintness of the buildings and decor, to the friendly staff and of course the trails, beaches and wildlife right outside your door. We will be booking our next stay shortly. Cheers and enjoy!

Three generations of our family stayed a beach front cabin for a long weekend in November. We were immediate struck by beautiful integration of the resort into the lush natural setting. Picture old growth spruce touchable from the large balcony overlooking the tranquil waters of the bay - waves lapping gently while steam rises from the hot tub.

A special mention needs to go out to the staff. Beyond just being genuinely welcoming, they were extremely prompt and effective in tending to our requests. They wanted our much anticipated holiday, high in expectations to be everything we had hoped. A big thanks to them for coming through when that unlikely problem arose ...

As a physiotherapist, I would like to point out that this resort requires guests to climb numerous stairs, potentially in the pouring rain.

Overall, no hesitations to highly recommend this character rich resort!

Room Tip: The beachfront cabins have stellar views - and renting one with a hot tub makes it all the more impr...

We have one to three teips a year over ro Ucluelet. This was our first time at TB, and spent 3 days and 2 nights just before halloween. *we have 3 hounds that we travel with* and anyone with more than 2 dogs knows how hard it is to find somewhere welcoming (and worth staying at) when you have more than 2 dogs! First the staff at TB were great. Friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our cabin ( #24) was perfect , leather couches, tile floors and there were dog treats, dog bowls and dog towels stacked for us on arrival. (They also have a dog wash station on the deck just down from the office with extra towels and waste bags if you run out or need new ones)
The cabin was well stocked with everything needed, pots and pans, wine glasses too and plastic cups for the hot tub. Hot tub was great, inside tub was also great being very deep and large , and shower was HUGE. Bed was comfy, sky lites were a nice touch. The electric fireplace had no heat but with the baseboard heaters you didnt need the fireplace except for aesthetics. We kept the "flames" on for ambiance. I am a bit of a germaphobe - and always wear flops in hotels-- I was so comfortable at TB I was barefoot inside the whole time. Beach was great, and you're basically right on the Amphritite walking trail (don't forget to wave to the camera when youre at the lighthouse). If you go and get the chance have dinner at Norwoods and check out the new wearable art at Pina..
Terrace Beach is our new goto place in Ucluelet and thanks again to the great staff.

Our first stay at Terrace Beach Resort only came about because the place where we usually stay when in Uclulet was booked up. So after checking out a few websites, we elected to try Terrace Beach.

The outcome of our visit was that we've found a new home away from home on the West Coast - this is where we'll be staying from now on when in Uclulet. The accomodation is outstanding and the prices are very fair value indeed for the amenities offered. The proximity to a section of the Wild Pacific Trail is a real bonus, as is the free WiFi which was available at the time of do our stay. The staff were helpful and friendly without intruding in any way into our privacy. The opportunity to hot-tub more or less in the forest with an eagle's nest overhead was also a great experience. We will definitely be back!!

We shared a wonderful 3 days at this remarkable resort. 4 of us Aussies stayed together with my son and his Canadian wife and enjoyed ourselves over the New Year period. This was our second stay here and we will visit again at sometime in the future. I could not recommend this resort any higher as we love the tranquility and beauty of the area. The hiking trail shows some magnificent coastline. The hot tub was wonderful also.

Room Tip: The Captains Quarters are spacious with 3 levels available.
