We just returned from another visit to Ucluelet. We stayed for the 2nd time at the Terrace Beach Resort. Our ocean front cabin was great. We had a window open while we were inside so that we could always hear the waves. The weather was beautiful this past weekend although we were hoping for some storm watching as well. The resort is right next to one of the 3 Wild Pacific Trail Loops, so very handy and accessible. The location is great to be able to walk into town and is one of the only cabin type resorts to actually be on the water. The cabins are very cozy and well equipped for more than just a weekend stay. The mattresses are very firm and like new, so for us a little hard, therefore the different rating. Gave the swimming pool an excellent rating but that was for the Jacuzzi tub and Hot Tub, both overlook the ocean.

Spent 2 days midweek recently and must say our stay was wonderful.
The room (Eagles Nest Loft) was spacious and exceptionally well supplied. From the comfortable bed to the large, spacious bathroom to the private deck with a hot tub, nothing was overlooked.
Situated adjacent the Wild Pacific Trail, one only needs to walk out their door and hit the trail.
The kitchenette is functional and well supplied. There is also a barbecue on the deck for those inclined to cook out doors.
This resort is a wonderful place to stay as you explore the Pacific Rim Park or take advantage of the surfing. It may lack a bit of the polish of some of the other, higher priced resorts in the area, but if you're on the West Coast to spend your time outside, Terrace Beach Resort is all you need and more.
Terrace Beach Resort is also dog friendly. The owners and staff are obviously dog- lovers. Bowls, towels, bags even biscuits awaited our retrievers.
One more note, if you don't have headlights, get some and hike the 2.5 kilometre Lighthouse Trail in the dark. The stunted, weather disfigured trees are eerie and make for great subjects of pictures against the pitch-black background.

Have stayed here a few times in the past. Both times in a boardwalk suite, The Priestly's were very welcoming and friendly. The last time we brought our dog and he was welcomed as well. Hot tub on the deck on a cold winters night in the rain was wonderful while listening to the storm waves on the beach. Kitchen is a bit tight, but otherwise the suites on the boardwalk are very roomy. Kids loved the loft. Great way to spend some great family time just before Christmas.

My best friend, her 10 month old, and I took a road trip to a few places on the Island, culminating in a 5 night stay in this resort. We stayed in one of the boardwalk lofts (the High Tide), and it was marvellous. It was quiet and spacious, and the kitchen was well equipped, which meant we didn't have to eat out every night (though there are plenty of nice restaurants in Ucluelet that we sampled by choice). The location is lovely - it's about a half hour walk to the centre of the town with lovely shopping and places to eat, and the rainforest/coastal starts just behind the resort and is incredible. There are also a few beaches nearby to do some great storm watching. The hot tub on the deck is stellar, and had we been travelling without the baby I might have lived in it. I would absolutely stay here again!

We came here for our "mini-moon" and really enjoyed ourselves. The unit we had was clean and spacious. Close enough to Ucluelet as well as Tofino in order to go for dinner or do some other activities.

The reason why I'm not giving the resort 5/5 is because we had some issues with the hot tub and the jacuzzi tub. Firstly, the hot tub temperature was set way too high and both of us ended up with burned legs - the maintenance people came to fix it the next day after we reported it, but this shouldn't of been an issue to start off with. Secondly, the jacuzzi tub tubing hadn't been cleaned in a while. I filled the tub with water and turned on the jacuzzi and all of a sudden the water turned brown and had a filmy white foam. Not particularly pleasant.

Overall, we really enjoyed the resort as it is in a beautiful location and the units are wonderfully furnished. Highly recommended.

This was our sixth stay at the Terrace Beach Resort. As always - and I'm not kidding - we came over the hill and the sun was out bright and beautiful. Literally dumped off our gear and proceeded to the Amphitrite lighthouse. We stayed in the Eagles Nest suite, one of our favorites - cozy, clean, and very private. We used the barbeque and hot tub many times during our stay and took evening walks along the beach. The staff was terrific as always and knows us now which makes for a special experience. I would recommend this resort to anyone that wants a real west coast experience - from the rustic quaintness of the buildings and decor, to the friendly staff and of course the trails, beaches and wildlife right outside your door. We will be booking our next stay shortly. Cheers and enjoy!

Three generations of our family stayed a beach front cabin for a long weekend in November. We were immediate struck by beautiful integration of the resort into the lush natural setting. Picture old growth spruce touchable from the large balcony overlooking the tranquil waters of the bay - waves lapping gently while steam rises from the hot tub.

A special mention needs to go out to the staff. Beyond just being genuinely welcoming, they were extremely prompt and effective in tending to our requests. They wanted our much anticipated holiday, high in expectations to be everything we had hoped. A big thanks to them for coming through when that unlikely problem arose ...

As a physiotherapist, I would like to point out that this resort requires guests to climb numerous stairs, potentially in the pouring rain.

Overall, no hesitations to highly recommend this character rich resort!
