Our family stayed in Surfgrass and totally fell in love. Awesome hot tub outside overlooking the water. BBQ on the deck to cook fish from town. Comfy bed upstairs, with a beautiful jacuzzi tub. Wished we could have stayed longer. Hoping to come here for our anniversary.

This was our second visit to Terrace Beach Resort, where we again chose #9 Sea Star. Our entire family (two adults and teens) find these cottages to be perfection. Between the ocean views, the hiking right from your doorstep and the hot tub on the deck, it is truly a zen experience. After spending the day exploring the coast, we'd relax in the hot tub under the stars while listening to the waves. The interior is beautifully appointed with such a warm cottage feel. We will be back every year and tell friends and family what a relaxing getaway Terrace Beach Resort offers. (Did I mention they're pet friendly?)

We stayed in Cabin 2, Morning Mist. What a glorious treat! We were looking for an escape from the crazy city Christmas, and everything about our stay here exceeded our expectations. Staff were great, view from the hot tub on the deck was unrivalled, there is really nothing to complain about here.

I love how quiet it is, despite the main-ish road that the property sits on the only thing that I ever heard was waves, birds, and the wind. The only negative was having to leave.

We will be back, in fact we have already booked for next Christmas.

This is our third time here. My husband and I and the two dogs came to spend Christmas, since we couldn't be with our kids this year, however we connected online on Christmas morning. The first time we stayed here we were in the Captains Cabin which sleeps 10 and the whole family bunked in. I like the fact that we can cook and there is a decent sized fridge. The staff is super friendly, relaxed and helpful. There are also restaurants nearby and in Tofino, not far away. For me,the fact that I can literally walk outside the door and be on an oceanside trail (Wild Pacific Lighthouse Loop) is part of the charm, besides it being quiet and secluded. Hearing the surf and the lighthouse when we go out with the dogs is wonderful...did I mention that pets are more than welcome? and they supply a dog wash area, towels, bags and bowls and some biscuits to welcome our pets. There are a variety of sizes of units. This time we stayed in an upper suite, but next time I think we'll choose one a bit larger, although we were very cozy and we brought along a little tree with lights. I like the comfy bed in the loft with jersey sheets. The whole place has a rather rustic fishing village feel to it, but all amenities are here.

Room Tip: The upper suites have fairly steep stairs if you are mobility challenged.

We stayed here for five days on a short break and wish it could have been longer. Check-in was very welcoming and informative about area attractions and services.

The StormWatcher unit was very comfortable, and we particularly enjoyed the private hot tub on our balcony. This two-bedroom loft unit offered everything you needed to feel at home while away from home. While the kitchen was small and lacked an oven, we used the microwave and the outdoor barbecue on our balcony to cook our meals. Excellent WiFi reception throughout.

Easy and pleasant walk from the resort to the spectacular Wild Pacific Trail, which we completed in segments over four days.

We would definitely recommend The Terrace Beach Resort to anyone looking for a great place to stay while visiting the west coast of Vancouver Island.

We just returned from another visit to Ucluelet. We stayed for the 2nd time at the Terrace Beach Resort. Our ocean front cabin was great. We had a window open while we were inside so that we could always hear the waves. The weather was beautiful this past weekend although we were hoping for some storm watching as well. The resort is right next to one of the 3 Wild Pacific Trail Loops, so very handy and accessible. The location is great to be able to walk into town and is one of the only cabin type resorts to actually be on the water. The cabins are very cozy and well equipped for more than just a weekend stay. The mattresses are very firm and like new, so for us a little hard, therefore the different rating. Gave the swimming pool an excellent rating but that was for the Jacuzzi tub and Hot Tub, both overlook the ocean.

Spent 2 days midweek recently and must say our stay was wonderful.
The room (Eagles Nest Loft) was spacious and exceptionally well supplied. From the comfortable bed to the large, spacious bathroom to the private deck with a hot tub, nothing was overlooked.
Situated adjacent the Wild Pacific Trail, one only needs to walk out their door and hit the trail.
The kitchenette is functional and well supplied. There is also a barbecue on the deck for those inclined to cook out doors.
This resort is a wonderful place to stay as you explore the Pacific Rim Park or take advantage of the surfing. It may lack a bit of the polish of some of the other, higher priced resorts in the area, but if you're on the West Coast to spend your time outside, Terrace Beach Resort is all you need and more.
Terrace Beach Resort is also dog friendly. The owners and staff are obviously dog- lovers. Bowls, towels, bags even biscuits awaited our retrievers.
One more note, if you don't have headlights, get some and hike the 2.5 kilometre Lighthouse Trail in the dark. The stunted, weather disfigured trees are eerie and make for great subjects of pictures against the pitch-black background.
