I don't think you'll find a cleaner nicer room whilst traveling the Alaska Highway. Spotless, quality bed linen, very clean room and surround sound for entertainment not to mention a BOSE dock for your ipod!
You can also rent DVD's for free from the adjoining petrol station which also doubles as the reception for the hotel (but don't let that put you off!)
The owners obviously take great pride in their business and are in the process of building another hotel opposite which looked almost finished during our stay.
The price and the size of the bed (only a double) are the only things preventing me giving this place 5 stars. I can only assume the high room prices are funding the new hotel. Otherwise absolutely fantastic to get quality like this in such a remote area.

A nice room, but I feel it's over priced for the area. I feel $149 was too much.
I would not stay here again. But if $$$ is not an issue I would recommend a nice motel for sure.

It was a little hard to find. It's appearance from the outside was the best. You checked in at the gas station. It only has ten rooms but they are gorgeous rooms; probably the nicest of our trip. The furnishings, appliances, audio/visual equipment and room decorations, considering where we were, were amazing.

After reading all the other reviews, I hate to throw cold water on the party, but we obviously didn't have the same choice of rooms the others had, even though our reservations were made over a month in advance of our trip. We were stuck in a small room downstairs behind the service station, and it was like being in a rabbit warren. I am physically handicapped, and had a terrible time getting up onto their ridiculously high bed. The room was so small that even had I not been handicapped, I wouldn't have had the space to take a running leap to get onto the bed. Good thing we carry a small folding footstool with us, because I needed it to climb onto the bed. Nowhere in the room was there any provision for anyone with any type of physical limitations. No grab bars or safety aids of any type. It may be a great place to stay, but for anyone with physical limitations, I'd certainly advise looking at room options before deciding. Cleanliness was never in question, it's spotlessly clean, smells clean. It's just the "handicapped problem" that NO ONE seems to address in the North., There should also be at least ONE parking space designated for handicapped. We arrived fairly early in the day, and were able to park "within walking distance" of the entrance, but when we left to go for supper, came back to find we had to park quite a distance away, across an uneven gravel parking lot, amid construction.

Very nice rooms, but NO A/C. In the summer it is unbearable in the room. Stay elsewhere in the summer where they have A/C.

Stayed here for 10 days while working locally in the area, excellent host, rooms beautifully appointed. Our rooms had a kitchenette, very appreciated as the food service in the area is limited at best.Groceries available across the street. Wireless and wired internet available, great if you are doing business travel. All in all an oasis in the middle of town, located behind the Petrocan , check-in is at the gas station.

We were 10 people, needing 5 rooms. We had the entire top floor, the most amazingly appointed rooms. All the amenities you could want. Don't be fooled by the exterior, it in no way typifies the wonderful accommodations. Each room had a fireplace, wonderful linens, and was spotlessly clean. Nothing was missing. Luxury on a trip from Anchorage to the States! This would be a wonderful hotel, no matter the location.
