“Picton gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2014

We recently stayed at the Bee and Bee this Spring and we loved every minute of it. Not only were Jane and Tony very welcoming when we arrived but they bent over backwards to make sure we had the inside scoop on all the vineyards and enough activities to do while we were there.

My boyfriend is an avid birder and I really appreciated that poor Jane had to get up at the crack of dawn to make us breakfast before we left at 5 am to get to the mist nets. The food was always delicious and presented much like a fancy restaurant would and the cozy atmosphere in the house was always wonderful to come home to. The garden in the back was wonderful to eat in and especially charming since we met the very old but loving local cat whose exact vintage is a mystery to everyone.

Picton itself is probably the town you'll want to stay in if you're looking for a good jumping off point in Prince Edward County but be forewarned that all the stores/restaurants close early (maybe 6 or 7pm?) so choices are pretty limited after that.

Overall we had a fantastic time and we wouldn't hesitate to come back to this BnB especially since the hosts we so lovely. I would totally recommend this place to anyone travelling for Prince Edward County!

Room Tip: Either of the rooms meant to sleep 2 or more are fantastic for couples (the one on the main floor an...

Located in Picton; close to the Sandbanks, the wine regions, and the wonderful Hwy #33 bike route to Amherst Island. The bed was exceptional, and the food was a pure delight. We required gluten free food - who would have known gluten free could taste so good! Jane and Tony, our hosts, were entertaining and helpful in directing us to the 'must see' events in the county.

Trip advisor has 18 B&B reviews for Picton that get 5 stars. So we went with #18 and I am so glad we did. The annex room was spacious enough my 6'5" husband didn't feel crowded and it was nicely done up. There is a friendly reading/sitting room with lots of books and magazines about the area. Jane and Tony were very friendly and knowledgeable and not just about local attractions and wineries. They understood and recommended 2 excellent restarurants that could handle my celiac disease. They also made sure I had plenty of gluten free food for my breakfast. It is worth staying here just for the breakfasts. The view out the window of the annex is the neighbour's wall, so it isn't that great, but there is a garden and great views only a short walk away.

We really enjoyed our stay with Jane and Toni in their beautiful cozy home. Delicious food and warm company. They spent a lot of time showing us places to go and what to see which was really helpful. Our room, The Green Room, was clean and comfortable with beautiful decorative touches. We would return again on a future trip to Prince Edward County!

Just had to write a review after our second year staying at Bee & Bee's Bed and Breakfast in Picton. I had never stayed at a bed and breakfast and it took only one stay here to know that we would be back! We planned our stay around a biking trip around the wonderful wine country and Fall is also a great time to take in the colours! Jane and Tony are so helpful with routes, suggestions for stops and amazing places to eat! The breakfast each morning was so good and a great way to start our biking adventures! Will definitely return again!

I went with my brother and we got the annex room - lots of space and very comfortable! Great hosts - willing to be helpful but not overbearing, breakfast was awesome!! Great location for walking around Picton. Also good for hitting the beaches and wine country. The hosts have to adjoining houses - Guests stay in one and they have the other. So there is kitchen with coffee and tea, tv, sitting area, wifi. Would return for sure.

We went to Bee and Bee this past long weekend. Jane and Tony are wonderful, knowledgeable and very welcoming. We stayed in the cottage annex room which was a great room with a separate entrance. The breakfast was terrific. We were supposed to leave early on our last day however we changed our plans so we could enjoy one more breakfast.
