I would say that this is quite a lovely place but it needs to be updated lot. Rooms were not cleaned for arrivals becasue the kids beds had cobwebs an spider. Booked the room with the little ladder for kids to go up an have a good time but they refused cause it was dirty and stained with who knows what on the rugs...smelt like pee. The breakfast was horrible. But the location was good fro what we really wanted it for like visiting Sandbanks Park, the Dunes and they had passes for the park so we didn't have to pay to get into the park which would have cost alot for a family of 5. The resort grounds were very clean as wll as the pool which the kids loved. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. So it worked out to be a 50-50 overall.

Room tip: good on a budget and good location to sandbanks and dunes

We stayed two nights in Lodge 1 while attending a wedding at another location. We were on the back side but we could see the lake from the screened in porch. The bed is comfortable and the kitchenette with fridge, stove, micro, dishes, pots and pans would allow one to make any meal.
However, the walls and ceilings are thin. The guests above came in after 11, and just their walking back and forth as they prepared for bed woke us. In the morning, we were woken up by a baby crying in another section.
The room was clean, and the resort is very relaxing and open.
We ate dinner at the Knoll Restaurant. The food was delicious and nicely presented. Service was excellent.
If one is prepared to understand that this resort has been around for many years and looks it, it's a great place to relax.

My family stayed at the resort for a 55th Anniversary. We had 3 cottages...beautifully located on the water. They were rustic and very clean and reminded us of our childhood days with our parents. We also had a room in a Lodge that was lovely for those of us who wanted to be quite at the end of the evening. The restaurant did a beautiful BBQ buffet. The staff from booking to food were very accommodating. Our servers Dave and Kat were amazing. Daniel did an outstanding job on the bbq. We are planning our girls weekend there for next year, can't wait....thank you everyone for an awesome time.

Room tip: Thè cottages are great...we loved them

Firstly let me say that this area is a beautiful part of Canada, and Isiah Tubbs could offer much but it is run down to nearly the point of no return. It does not match up to its internet pictures which appear to be of the few upgraded accommodations. Our apartment in block 2 would have looked old fashioned in a movie about the 1970's, the lighting is terrible and although relatively clean, it doesn't look it. We went for 2 relaxing days and had one, our last night spoilt by a party in the accommodation above us that went on from around 10pm until well after 7am, it was mentioned to staff but with little response. I think they have their locals and look after them but any traveller be sure you know what your getting if you are going to book. A dissapointing experience.

Stayed one night this past weekend (September 24th). Gorgeous weather and friendship with 4 other couples. That was the positive.
The rest was NEGATIVE!!!!!
The roadways through the compound were dust and gravel. Whether driving or walking everything including yourself was dust covered. The dust continued to our buildings hallway which was last vacuumed when Isaiah Tubbs was a private in the loyalist's militia in the war of 1812. Kidding but it felt like it.
Our room was probably "swanky" in 1960. Needs updating is an understatement. The one light in the room didn't work....ok maybe it was the bulb but do you really like mold surrounding the bath/tub shower.
Check-in staff were ok but on the friendly scale barely a 5 out of 10.
Staff overall were ok .....5 out of 10.
I realize that Prince Edward County is bit of the beaten path but this place should not be in a four decade ago time warp or even worse.....the Dust Bowls of the last century.
Enjoy a day trip to the county and all the quaint things it has to offer. Do not however believe the marketing hype of this place. Stay somewhere else.
