Went to restaurant only. Go on regular basis. Food is great, well prepared and presented. Hostess and staff are very pleasant. New bistro great place to take friends for a drink, good selection of on site crafted beers.

I booked the Lake on the Mountain for my fiance and I for our anniversary, we stayed in log cabin #2. Upon arrival we were asked to pay upfront as they were closing for the season. I was not informed that they would be closing half way through our stay, not impressed!! We also found out the restaurant we were really looking forward to eating at would be closing as well and we only got to enjoy the restaurant for one dinner. Again, not being properly informed, we were disappointed.
Also, there was no fire wood provided for the fireplace in the log cabin, something we were not told about. I've never stayed in an inn that has fireplaces but does not provide wood.
The lack of communication from the owners was highly disappointing!!!

My husband and I were raised in Prince Edward County and are always surprised how it has changed when we visit. The restaurant, in the resort, was a nice surprise. It was nicely decorated and quite for a Saturday afternoon in the fall. Our appetizers were very good and plentiful as were our meals. My husband thought his smoked salmon was good enough to want more! The entrees were a little slow in being served but they were fresh and hot.

Was passing by and stopped for lunch. Delicious, great and friendly service.

Across the street: check out The MIller Pub. Super view from the terasse, nice friendly service. The spanish plate is super but the dark local homebrewed beer (by the owner) is one of the best I've ever tasted. Definitely worth a stop!

We had a girl's weekend, arrived Friday, June 21, 2013 (four women). We originally wanted to stay in the cottages, however, they only rent them out a week at a time, and we were staying for 2 nights. They offered the red house across the road, where there are 3 floors, 3 separate units. We stayed on the main floor, for $125/night per couple, so it was around $140 per person for us girls. The main floor is nice, has a large kitchen, one bathroom, a queen size bed and a double hide-a-bed. They recently renovated so everything is new. The shower is a standard shower stall. They provide all of the kitchen necessities, such as dishes, pots, microwave, stove/oven, dishwasher, as well as, towels, etc.. There were occupants in the upper two floors as well, noise was minimal (you could hear people walking on floor above), but it wasn't bothersome. Not sure what the other 2 units look like. Parking is beside the house. The view is wonderful. The main floor unit has a deck in the back, and the grounds have nice trees and lawn swings, etc. The same owners of the house and the cottages are building a bistro right beside the red house, so I don't know how much noice and traffic will be generated and/or how this will affect the atmosphere in the red house. We had a great time.

Room Tip: Main floor is nice because access is easy, and the kitchen is large. If you are going as 2 couples...
