As you drive along the Cabot Trail, there are many wonderful gift shops. What is unique about this one is that it does only one thing and does it extremely well - sells high-end cutting boards. These boards are beautiful works of art! You may have seen them in a gourmet cheese shop in the Roncesvalles district of Toronto or on TV where all of the contestants on MasterChef Canada are using them. Here, just a few kilometers from Larchwood Enterprises, you will find the largest selection and some of the best prices. The outlet sells first-run boards at regular prices, but if you want a bargain, check out the seconds and "uniques", i.e. boards that are not of regular size. These are sold at deep discount, although you will be hard pressed to find any fault with them. I bought one last year and it has held up very well and has retained its beauty. It is a joy to work on. The shop is at a beautiful stopping spot, right beside a bridge over the Margaree River. Staff working here are very friendly and there is no pressure to buy - making this an enjoyable, relaxing place to stop.
