Cape Mudge Lighthouse
Reviewed 7 December 2017

A quick stop to take pictures of the lighthouse, but it is not open to public, so unless you want to hang out on the beach or walk on one of the trails, it is just a quick stop.

It was near here that Captain Vancouver landed on Quadra and exchanged gifts with the natives. All though there are no interpreters there it is a very photographically location!

Just a great place to wander the beach in front of the Lighthouse. Don’t miss the poignant Memorial stone at the corner of the fence at the beach entrance. Bring your camera and watch for Whales and Cruise Ships as well as many other vessels tha ply the Discovery Passage.

We came to celebrate a 75th birthday and an anniversary and bought a 3 night package. The location is fantasic! And when you walk into the lobby it's amazing! Unfortunately, the outside of the buildings don't look the same way. There needs to be lots of maintenance done on the outside, on the buildings as we'll as the grounds.

With the package we purchased, we got a certain amount of credit for breakfast and dinner and then could order what we liked. The meals are over-priced for what you get. The portions are generous but there is no creativity. Eating at the same place for 3 days is not a good idea, when the veggies are the same each day, the presentation is not great either. Very little variety when it comes to salads as well. We won't buy a package again, which means we may not go back again.

Located near the southern tip of Quadra, this lighthouse is accessible via a gravel road from Tsa-Kwa-Luten Lodge. The walk takes roughly 10-20 minutes depending on your fitness level!

A pleasant place to sit for a while and look over the water towards Campbell River and take a photo or two.
