“Clean, comfortable and good value for money.”
Reviewed 11 October 2012

Our room in the Lodge, room #1, was spacious and clean. The bed is firm and very comfortable. It would be improved with a DVD player but the TV does have lots of channels. There is a coffee maker with supplies but since the restaurant was temporarily closed this week we could have used a toaster. Overall good value for money and we would certainly recommend it to friends.

Room Tip: Room #1 in the Lodge is at the end of the building but it does take a long time to get hot water alt...

Vewry friendly and helpful staff, The restaurant was delicious and service was fantastic. The room was very clean and comfortable. The owners were nice enough to hold my room without a credit card since mine had been fraudently used before they had a chance to charge it. When I return to Pender Island I will most definetly be staying here again and I will also recomend it to anyone going to Pender.

Great value for the price plus a nice restaurant on site. We stayed one night in a clean and comfortable room with a queen-sized bed. Enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant that seems popular with visitors and locals alike. Take-out pizza seemed particularly popular with locals, judging by the number of pick-ups in the short time it took us to register. The grounds are well kept, staff is friendly, and the owner is very helpful in providing information about the island. We will definitely stay here again.

When we pulled up to the Inn we noticed a For Sale sign in front which was probably why so much of the property seemed unkempt, run down and like the owners just didn't care anymore. The yard out front was in poor condition and unwelcoming. The building we stayed in was the lodge with several other rooms - maybe the single cabins were better - we didn't see them at all. But the lodge was old, run down, with old plastic chairs and tables sitting on the deck. The hot tub looked "not-so-nice" - old and well used - we didn't even use it - not appealing at all. The building is in need of a lot of renovations and updates. Our room was clean but again old and outdated. In fact in the bathroom, one of the wood counters had a corner that was completely broken off. The towels were smelly and "crunchy" and the bathroom gets VERY wet after using the shower - poor ventilation. There is no air conditioning so the room gets very stuffy and stale-smelling. If we go back to Pender Island (which was LOVELY by the way) we would definitely spend more money and stay somewhere better. Hopefully once they sell this place the new owners will spend the money to give it a complete overhaul.

This Inn is a nice place to stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the cost per night is reasonable. The innkeeper is helpful and fun to talk to. We were biking Pender Island and he showed us good places to bike and roads to avoid and marked the routes on a map. The restaurant at the Inn was quiet good and the prices were reasonable.

Spend one night here. Clean, large room, quiet and relatively inexpensive for BC.

I went to Pender Island for a visit and stayed in one of the cottages at the Inn on Pender. Most fabulous little cottage. It's got everything you need, fireplace, radio, small kitchen with coffee maker, small fridge, microwave and toaster over. Private hot tub outside your door and a swing on the porch.

The Inn has dinner available for a very reasonable price and they allowed me to do a late check out since my ferry wasn't leaving till 7pm!

It is so peaceful, you can sleep in and not hear a soul. The deer are our grazing around the property.

I would definitively stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling to this island

The WOODS is a complete remake of the previous Inn on Pender Island into a new modern camp vibes hotel and resort. We took over April 7th, 2015 and have added a Trailer Park Collection of 7 modern and vintage Airstreams, a Shasta and a tear drop sleeping pod. 3 of the Airstreams and 1 Cabin have an attached Glamping Tent. One Airstream has a large fenced in compound with a sleeping cabin. We also updated the 3 existing Rustic Log Cabins with beautiful new vertical grain fir doors, cow hide rugs, hammocks, propane fire pits and BBQs and adirondack chairs. The 9 room Lodge was complete painted black with new bright yellow doors and new hanging baskets and new interiors. The former restaurant was gutted and turned into a new urban style restaurant called Coffee + Kitchen. ... more   less
