You want a trip back in time visit Taku Resort, the cabins & rooms are straight out of the sixty"s & haven't been updated in a long time. The view out the window was beautiful, the lily"s in the room smelled wonderful & were a very personal touch. This is a very tranquial place as the cell service sucks , there is no television ( or at least at the beach cottage we were in ) and the only time our lap top would work was in their office! The kitchen was adaquet but the fridge needed deforsting & at highest setting still left ice cream soft. The staff was very friendly & willing to try & help in any way they could.

Room Tip: Go for the view as you are close in distance to many lights of nearby cottages.

After a long year Taku Resort is the perfect place to relax. Our family of four plus two dogs stayed in the beachfront cabin and were more than comfortable. The cabin had all we needed and even though my teenagers were a little disappointed at first that there was no TV, they were able to use the laptop.

Taku Resort is located on what I think is this the nicest side of the Island and is right across from Rebecca Spit which is great for walks and picnics on the beach. The staff at Taku are wonderful and helped make our stay that much more enjoyable.

The only complaint I have is that it may take some time to get used to the laid back atmosphere for those of us who live fast-paced lives. Will definitely go back!

Room Tip: Book early!

We stayed two nights in a Terrace Suite (2 queen beds), separate living room and kitchen. The place was spotless and we had 2 balconies overlooking the gorgeous bay. It's also conveniently located to a grocery store and bike rental place.

Our family stayed in one of the A frame cabins. It was a peaceful trip on an absolutely stunningly beautiful island. The resort was quiet (spring break) and is well maintained. We will visit again.

The docks at Taku are gorgeous. They are well maintained, spacious and fully equipped with water and power. The staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. In fact everyone on the island treats the visitors with personal attention, from the custom fitting of a rental bike to dock delivery of groceries from the local supermarket. Taku resort is a gem.

We stayed at Taku Resort in early-October and we were a little worried that it may be too chilly to really enjoy the beaches and other summer outdoor activities we love. The weather was beautiful and warm and we were able to spend our last weekend of the summer just across from the resort on Rebecca Spit basking in the sunshine and enjoying nature. Taku resort was wonderful. Their cabins are beaufifully designed, incredibly clean, and very cozy with the gas fireplace at night. We loved our stay at Taku and hope to return again this summer. From the stunning waterfront/marina location, hot tub and kayaking, peace and quiet., heron and seal watching to mind blowing sunsets and sunrises - you just can't beat Taku Resort. Our visit in August was intended to wow our friends visiting from UK - we succeeded! It was perfect for both adults and teenagers. We also stayed in May - just my husband and I - pure bliss! Highly recommend it and we will certainly be booking again.
Staff were very helpful, facilities brilliant and there's a wonderful pub/restuarant just a few minutes walk away.

Room Tip: Choose from studio to full suite. All excellent.
