Way too overpriced. The owner is unstable and accused us of things we didn't do. The bed was uncomfortable and the sheets and towels smelled mouldy. The rooms were freezing and the baseboard heaters didn't work.

We rode there on an island bike tour, easy ride from ferry. Small cabin with just the basics. Clean and neat, all we needed for a good price considering the islands are expensive. We would stay there again.

Room Tip: If you're going to cook in the cabin pick up food on the way. The closest store closes early. Ni...

As part of a bike tour of the islands, my husband and I spent one night in the Hummingbird Cabin. Although it is the smallest of the cabins, it had all we needed. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, the kitchen had all the basics. There was a small table plus chairs in addition to two comfortable chairs which we used with the tray table while we ate our dinner. Although the cabins are fairly close to each other, there wasn't any noise from our neighbors at night. The owner was helpful and friendly in the short encounter we had with her. Overall, we found the place to be great value - especially since the shoreline is just across the street and is a lovely walk.

This property cannot be called a resort. Accommodation is not modern, but it was quiet. The larger duplex cabins have a number of stairs to climb to the front door, so if you have some mobility issues I don't recommend them. Cell reception can be sketchy, so if your phone does not work you could use the Telus payphone for 25 cents. Proprietors do not live on the property, but somewhere close by. The nightly rate for the low season was high compared to other properties I have stayed at on other islands. On the whole I was not impressed. Unlikely I will come back.

Room Tip: Too many stairs to the larger cabins for those who have mobility and balance issues.

I recently stayed at the Blue Vista Resort while visiting the island on business. I would like to return with some family and friends. As other reviewers have stated, the suites not modern but are well-equipped. The fireplace ready and waiting for us when we arrived made for a lovely evening enjoying the living room. My bed was comfortable and that is one of the most important things to me!

The ocean is directly across the street and I would love to see it in the summertime. I will have to return...

Excellent location, the is,and is beautiful with plenty of things to do and beaches to explore.
The lodges have everything you need, they may not be modern but everything works as it should.
If there's something you don't have or you are unsure about you can easily just ask and they'll help
