We stayed at Chateau Norm for the first part of our honeymoon and loved it! Norm was very warm and welcoming, without being intrusive, from the moment we got there. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite, which suited us perfectly, especially since there weren't any other guests upstairs so the extra added privacy was nice. Norm took us out on his boat, and although we didn't catch anything worth keeping, the trip out on the water was awesome! We enquired about the traditional Haida feast advertised on the website and it was probably the best meal we had on the island! Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed :) We took advantage of the hot tub and were amazed with the eagles soaring so close to us. We're definitely looking forward to the next visit to Chateau Norm (and hopefully his wife will be home, for I would love to meet her!)

We just returned from an amazing stay at Chateau Norms. We brought our parents and our kids but this place we also be perfect for a couple or a few couples.
Norm is very flexible and friendly and not to be seen unless needed and then so very helpful.

Location was very convenient -- about 2 mins to town of Queen Charlotte --we biked in for a meal and I walked every eve with my mom along the ocean.
Sunrise and Sunset are both hard to beat.
The real bonus was the grassy play area, fire pit and hot tub all along the ocean.

The house itself is truly flexible in terms of group size to book whatever you may need. Beds were very comfortable and everything worked just fine and the price was very fair.

We can't wait to go back and can't recommend it enough.

Room Tip: you can choose between ocean views but either way the decks have great views of the ocean. BBQ was awesome for cooking up our fish dinners.

Stayed here in the summer with my husband and baby. What an experience! Hosts Norm and Laurie are so friendly and accommodating. The setting could not be an more perfect. Private hot tub over looking the ocean! We shared some excellent meals and my husband had a great day fishing. We will stay here again and again. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. GREAT PLACE TO STAY!

Lori picked us up at the ferry. We had a nice room that shared a common room with TV, etc. and a panoramic view of the water, eagles, etc. The bicycles they provided enabled us to explore Charlotte and Skidigate without having to rent a car. We were a bit surprised to find out the the "breakfast" part of the B&B was make-it-yourself. The bed was very comfy but required mild gymnastics to access.
