Excellent fishery, where the manager actually cares about the fish!
2 great lakes, 1 with an island in the middle, but both well stocked. You can target specific fish, on the top lake, as the water is very clear. The nearest lake is larger & deeper.

I paid £68 to fish the River Avon which runs through Avon Springs Fishing Lakes, I cannot comment on the Lakes and the fishing of them but I can comment on the river fishing.
I am an experienced river fisherman having fished in Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and the UK. I was expecting to fish 'a mile of chalk stream' in rural Wiltshire but I was disappointed and maybe misled?. Initially the Fishery was difficult to find as there is no sineage from Durrington and its down a dead end road. The place was like an industrial site with a fishing lake and a river running through it, the river seemed to have been 'improved, with a swing shovel and partially fed stock ponds for trout. The river was shallow, muddy, lots of weed floating down it and contained small Rainbow Trout which had obviously been stocked, there were brown trout in it but all the fish were very spooked.
It wasn't my idea of a Chalk Stream....
I accept that the prevailing river conditions on the day were just bad luck and maybe at a different time of the year ( during May/June) things would have been different but the price was expensive for what I received - poor fishing in a not very nice location.
Booking was done on the internet via a third party who had no practical information in the Lakes/ River or quality of fishing.
Up to 4 people per day can book to fish the river, in my view far too many for the head of fish and the length of water, overfished comes to mind and a cash cow for the fishery owner. Not a place I would choose to spend my money and time in the future, there are far better locations even though they may be a little more expensive.
