“Warm & welcoming”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 March 2012

We went for evening dinner with our 2children who were made to feel very welcome which is nice as although we consider them 'pub trained' there is always the concern that they won't welcome in all pubs.
We had some lovely food and a super pudding all reasonable priced.
It is a lovely pub in a beautiful remote setting-worth the extra drive rather than sticking to the village next door!
Big thanks to the landlady for letting my girls pet the dogs,it definitely made their evening!

“A hidden gem”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 March 2012

The Duck has always been one of my favourite pubs. The food is always good (although it used to be better) and its quintessential Englishness and history make it a firm favourite with locals and visitors to the area.

“Worth finding!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 February 2012

A great traditional pub and restaurant in the Kent countryside.
Have had several meals here and all have been great – can especially recommend the sausage and cider festival.
A little hard to find but worth it!

“Delightful country pub with an open fire, home-cooked food, a warm welcome and delicious, varied menu.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 January 2012

Close to historic Canterbury, but nestling in a nearby valley, the pretty little pub now welcomes you with a cosy open fire. With bar specials, a fixed price menu and a la carte dishes, there is plenty of choice and a helpful Manager to guide you. Freshly cooked meals using local ingredients make the visit well worthwhile and enjoyable.
