A huge group of us from a cancelled Thomas Cook flight were put up here overnight in January 2012.
Our travel problems aside, this was a lovely hotel to dropped off at for the night and one that calmed the moods of many irate travellers.
As it was paid for by Thomas Cook, I have no idea how much the room rate was, but I guess it would be an ideal alternative to a probably more expensive hotel in Innsbruck centre, which is only 10 miles and a €2 bus ride away.
The interior decor may not be to everyone's liking (cherubs and religious objets d'art) but I found it a pleasant change personally.
The food was very good (excellent choice for breakfast) and the waiting staff were pleasant, friendly and very efficient.
There were 2 small points that stopped me awarding 5 stars: firstly the pillows were far too soft and spongy, creating a little bit of sleep disturbance and secondly, the bar area was a smoking room, which would be great if you're a smoker....I am not...and found this rather incongruous with hotels of the world today (perhaps it's normal for hotels in Austria)
In summary, a thoroughly recommended hotel in a quiet village with fabulous views of the Innsbruck area

We have been one night at the Purner hotel. The village is very nice and the hotel is located in a quiet part. The overall valuation of the rooms and the service is all right but the decoration is very kitch. The food and the service at the restaurant are all right, but it seems that it is often visited by groups which makes the dinner noisy.
In synthesis, the valuation of this hotel is average and I am sure many austrian hotels are much better.

Hotel situated in a very pretty village, surrounded by mountains, beautiful scenery, breathtaking views, walks in the forest – you don’t want to come back.
I stayed in this hotel as a part of a group over Christmas. It’s a cute and an interesting place with its own charm and ambiance, particularly if you like dolls and Teddy Bears. If not – then tough, have some sense of humour. It was deliciously decorated for festive season and food was lovely. Most of the staff is attentive and friendly, ladies are dressed in national Tyrolean costumes even early in the morning, some speak limited English. However, you might meet there one waitress with attitude whose manner is not what you call approachable. If you are a fussy eater or order a few drinks, beware, she won’t bother hiding if she does not like it, but do not let it spoil your stay, she is not worth it.
Rooms are not all the same, different size, some have baths and showers, some have only showers, some rooms are with balconies, some are not, in some rooms it’s hot, in some rooms it might take you a while to get it warm. You can always ask for an electric heater. If you are used to softer type of mattress, it might take you some time to get used to their beds, they are a little hard. Rooms are non-smoking, but visitors are allowed to smoke in the restaurant and you can smell it even on the second floor. It needless to say that the hotel is spotlessly clean, as if they just build it and you are the very first visitor. Pity, there is no tea and coffee facilities in the room, just a bottle of lemonade.

Whilst the hotel is comfortable I went with a group for Christmas for which it is not suitable.
Taken out for Christmas eve we came back to hotel at 9pm to find all public rooms shut and dark - for Christmas day we were not allowed into bar as place was packed with locals - it has no lounge, a struggle to get proper wine by glass and mystery of hidden wine list. We had to pay for drinks with cash after every meal. Did not appear to accept credit cards. Had to change room as only cold water, others found room too cold, some without safes. Probably okay for B & B in summer as near to plenty of attractive places but definitely not four star service.

This hotel is a nice cosy place surrounded by natural beauty. Located few minutes from city-connected by bus- and yet in midst of nature, in a small village near IGLIS. There are many dedicated pathways for nature treks....just step outside . Local cuisine is fantastic. Would love to return again!
