“A very comfortable weekend.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 December 2013

We were booked in here as a base to attend a wedding. I provided the wedding car and realised I would not be able to enjoy the toasts after I delivered the happy couple to the reception venue. So I drove back to Manor Farm thinking I would get a taxi back to the reception. Sarah heard me calling the taxi and my disappointment at having to wait half an hour. So she intervened and got her daughter to drive me. That's above and beyond the call of duty and much appreciated. The guest group were allowed free rein in the kitchen and were making tea and coffee at 2 in the morning. Very free and easy and very hospitable hosts in Rob and Sarah.

Four of us recently stayed overnight in this fabulous Bed and Breakfast. After a long journey of three and half hours round the M25 it was a lovely welcome of a log fire, a cup of tea and the most delicious cake from Sarah our host. Our reason for the trip was to see a tribute of Elvis in Wantage. Had I have known what a great time we all had our only disappointment was that we didn,t book two nights....

Room Tip: No tips as all rooms were of different character...this is a charming, excellent value Bed and Break...

I thought it important to warn other potential customers of the experience we had with this b&b. In September we booked a room to stay in following a wedding in November. Two days before we were due to stay my husband reviewed the credit card statement and discovered that the money had been paid back into our account. As you can imagine we were very surprised and phoned the establishment. It transpired that a "regular customer" wanted the room and so they cancelled our room! The b&b didn't even inform us. Two days before the wedding obviously caused a huge problem and I don't want anyone else to end up in the situation we were.

This was our third visit here; we get drawn back whenever we're in this neck of the woods as Rob is a very hospitable and likeable host, the rooms are elegant and cosy, the breakfasts are hearty and it's a lovely relaxing countryside location.

A cup of tea and homemade cake in the lounge on arrival is a very welcome touch, and we always love seeing Molly and Daisy (the springer spaniels) and Magic (the black cat), who are always subtly there in the background but love the attention!

A fantastic stay, as always. Thanks, Rob!

Room Tip: The four-poster bedroom is cosy with an elegant charm about it

We had a great overnight stay at Manor Farm. A warm welcome from Sarah when we arrived made us feel very at home. Cosy room with beautiful views over the garden and fields. Breakfast was freshly prepared by Rob and was delicious. If you are looking for a bland hotel chain interior, then this place isn't for you. If you're looking for character in the Oxfordshire countryside and good old fashioned comfort, then do book it. It won't disappoint.

We've stayed at Manor Farm three times now, and it has always been top-notch. Both Sarah and Rob always go the extra mile to make your stay a delight...be it freshly collected honey for the morning toast, an improptu afternoon tea cake, or hosting an all day BBQ for 50 family and friends at our day-after-the-wedding party. Wonderful rooms, lovely surroundings, friendly owners, relaxed atmosphere. Can't wait to visit again.

Room Tip: Each room is individual, and all a delight.

I stayed at Manor Farm in the four poster bedroom. Sarah was lovely and made me a pot of tea, which was had in the beautiful gardens, watching the chickens run around. The bed was lovely and comfy, the best nights sleep I've had in a long time. I asked if I could have fresh milk for my room, which was not a problem. Breakfast was fabulous, wonderful fruit salad, toast and a truly scrumptious cooked breakfast. I would say, if you like a sterile style hotel, this place is not for you. There were a few cobwebs on the lights, but hey, it's in the country and spiders work night and day. It was a charming, comfortable, friendly and lovely place. If I get the chance, if stay again. Thank you Sarah for your wonderful hospitality.
