Had a fantastic weekend away at Bandylegs on the edge of the Moors . A proper home from home long walks and then a cosy night in at our Cornish retreat . Hosts could not do enough for us and pointed us in the right direction (literally lol) with many coastal destinations only a short distance away we will definitely be back in the summer to take advantage of this oasis on the Moors xxxxx
I went to bandylegs with my parents and was v happy to see that both bedrooms were a gd size.. Deceptively large space for such a cute cosy cottage. The kitchen is equipped with all you need on your hols and when we didn't feel like cooking the local pub is just down the Rd in the neighbouring village and does amazing food. Proper old cornish pub. proper job.! Or ansome as the cornish folk say. i can imagine if i stayed at the cottage in the summer i would spend lots of time in the enclosed rear garden having barbies. In the winter though it's lovely to sit inside by the cosy fireplace. We did lots of walking over the moors, which are literally on the doorstep of the cottage.! The wild ponies are v cute. It's a great location for sightseeing also, being in between both coasts. Looe is always a fav of mine and not far at all. If you have a bicycle it's well worth bringing it as awesome cycling terrain. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life then I would highly recommend bandylegs to give you the peace you need and to bring bk your moho :)
The hosts Chris and Emma will make you really welcome.
The cottage is just delightful. Tastefully decorated and furnished. A really comfortable stay in a beautiful cottage in s lovely, friendly village.
Will definitely stay again
Bandylegs cottage is a real gem of a gem as a place to stay for the prefer holiday. The beautiful unspoilt Bodmin Moors are ideal for walking and exploring. Pretty little harbours like Looe and Fowey are just a few miles away as is the historic Jamaica Inn. I even visited the little village of. Port Isaac to have a look at where Doc Martin is filmed. Definitely going back to Bandylegs.*****. John Brooks
