“Quiet getaway and nature walks.”
Reviewed 9 September 2012

The Du Repos Bed and Breakfast was one of our best experience in a bed and breakfast. Louise, the owner, is a great hostess and the rooms are so well decorated. They each have their unique style. Meals were delicious and we shall make it a point of going again. We enjoyed nature walks and it's not far from Mount Carleton. It's a great gathering place... We felt very much at home! Thanks Louise!

We spent three nights at the B&B and wished that we could have extended our stay. Our first impression of the B&B was that it was clean, well maintained and well appointed. We'd arrived while the owner (Louise) was away, so she'd left a note for us explaining the important stuff (mainly: make yourself at home!) and suggesting we check out alternative vacant rooms if we wanted. The room we had was great, so we stayed put, although the other rooms were equally good, but larger than we needed.

As far as we could tell the B&B has three main 'suites' of rooms: our room by itself with ensuite bathroom, a room containing two double beds with kitchen and dining table and a 'flat' of three rooms with a shared kitchen/living area. If you are planning to visit Carleton PP as a large family or group I would recommend the flat. All of the rooms looked like they were carefully either newly refurbished, or carefully maintained, with furniture that was plush and comfortable. Each group of rooms also had a gas barbeque and outside sitting area. There is also a large grass garden to wander about. A good range of breakfast foods (yoghurt, fruit, bagels, fruit juice, coffee, tea etc) were provided in the room.

We had convenient access to the Carleton PP from the B&B, about 30 minute drive, which meant we could go for a day's walk and then relax in the evening.

In conclusion, this was a great place to stop, and if I have the opportunity I'll go back. One final thing: beware of the cats charming their way around the gardens - they'll be in your lap before you know it!

Room Tip: If you are a large group, ask for the first floor flat - a really good place to spend a week in NB.
