A meal at La Bolognese is what you would ideally imagine a meal to be in Italy - superb home cooking of local specialties served in a lovely environment that has the patina of a local institution. The ladies in charge of the restaurant are welcoming, efficient, and also very funny. The menu is small, the prices also.
The hand-made tagliatelle are legendary and if you do not order them, why are you going to Vignola? Our secondi were roasted veal with potatoes and greens - all excellent. Equally fine were the veal scallopini with lemon sauce. Dessert consisted of various freshly baked cakes, a lovely coda to a wonderful eating experience.
For a unique and superb meal, try this trattoria when in the area (opening hours are from 09 to 16:30 - no dinner service.
