Fortunately a lovely young woman we met told us about this place and drew a map of how to get there...I'm not sure anyone ever stumbles upon it...it's truly tucked away....but the drive is lovely through vineyards and olive groves and it is a treasure to be discovered! We had a 9:00 reservation last night and were there 2 1/2 hours. The food was superb, lovely red wine, service was incredible and we left wanting to extend the experience...so we went back for lunch today which was again, perfect! It was a highlight of our trip.
There are several dining rooms of varying sizes due to the original building which was built between 1100 and 1400. Both times we were there, the dining rooms were filled with the inn's guests as well as locals. Even though it's tucked away, obviously many people know where it is...I'd definitely recommend reservations.
The building has been beautifully and very professionally renovated to protect the integrity of its history....as well as create a most beautiful inn! We got information about the rooms and will definitely stay there on our next trip.
