“Surprising discovery off the beaten track”
Reviewed 25 June 2014

We were taken by friends to eat Sunday lunch at this restaurant; the décor is very bright, very French modern but the terraces were well situated and well shaded. The staff work very very hard to keep their very busy restaurant working -even the little boy bringing constant supplies of water! The food is modern, very well prepared and exceptionally good. Not a typical French auberge either in style or price (for a Sunday lunch at least) but the food was imaginative and the vegetables very good indeed. Puddings to die for and a reasonable wine list. Would make a detour to eat here again.

“good - you will eat well”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

I only get to choose between average and very good.
The décor is not great - orange and purple and so on.
The service is friendly and warm
The food is good (and I would certainly go again if I was nearby) but not to rave about - you will eat well but not "to die for!

“Always excellent”
Reviewed 17 May 2014

The fois Gras with their home made onion jam is the best in the Tarn et Garonne. The place is always packed and therefore it is necessary to book in advance - that speaks for itself, doesn't it?

“Toujours Si Bon”
Reviewed 17 April 2014

If you are on holiday in the region or are living as an expat you really should visit Auberge de Bardigues. The menu has a few modern twists but really sticks to the classic ingredients of the area with excellent finesse. The fois gras is some of the best I've tasted and the magret de canard with girolles is delicious.

Don't leave without having a coffee it's served with a dish of chocolate pebbles.

Bon apetit
