Millfields Bed & Breakfast
Reviewed 15 June 2014

3 of us stayed at Millfields last night 14/6/14 after cycling along the Tissington Trail. We had a lovely warm welcome from Sue and Terry who showed us to our rooms. There was space for our 3 bikes to be stored overnight and the rooms were pleasant, cosy and clean. The made recommendations for our evening meal and took our order for breakfast.

There was plenty of choice for breakfast and I can highly recommend the scrambled duck eggs!

I would recommend Millfields to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

This is a guesthouse owned by a lovely couple just outside Ashbourne, The breakfast is very good and what you have is decided by yourself making it as big as you like or as small as you like. If you need to know anything about the area they are always ready to help you out. My wife and I have been four times and already looking forward to when we can go again. the rooms are comfortable and very clean

My parents and I stayed 4 nights at Millfields B&B and had a lovely time with Susan and Terry. They are charming hosts and we really felt sad to leave. Beautiful comfortable rooms with great views of the countryside. Excellent cooked breakfast, I was treated with a special duck egg every morning. Many beautiful and interesting places to visit nearby, as well as very good pub in Fenny Bentley. But everything has been made so special thanks to Susan and Terry. We hope to come back very much. Thank you

You will be assured of a warm and friendly welcome from Terry and Susan at Millfields. Comfortable spotlessly clean ensuite room with everything you could wish for. Excellent breakfast served in dining room overlooking the valley with delicious fresh eggs from Terrys hens. Definately recommended!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Millfields early August whilst attending a wedding at Bentley Brook Inn which is 5mins walk up the road. Susan and her Donkeys in the field were so welcoming when we got there to check in. We were staying in the downstairs bedroom which wasn't en suite but had its own private bathroom just next door. The room itself was large and spacious with a tv, hairdryer, coffee and tea facilities. Everything was lovely and clean and the towels were big a fluffy. The bathroom looked as though it had recently been refurbished either that or Susan and Terry are professional cleaners as it was immaculate. We both slept really well and the bed was very comfy and everthing smelled fresh and clean as it should. In the morning the breakfast didn't disappoint we both opted for the full English and Susan was so attentive asking if we wanted more toast, coffee and Terry cooks a mean brekky! The view from our bedroom and the dining room was wonderful, beautiful countryside. Overall we had a great stay, Susan, Terry and their donkeys were wonderful hosts.

Thank you, if we are in the area again we will definitely stay at Millfields.

What more could you want? Clean reasonably spacious rooms, great breakfasts (using proper bacon and fresh eggs) and stunning views. Not to mention two great hosts Terry and Susan and easy access to local walks. And Coach and Horses five mins walk does excellent evening meals.
Have no hesitation in recommending this B and B.Will certainly visit again if in that area. We have stayed at loads of B and Bs and this is one of the best and well-priced.

This was our second stay at Millfields and again we had a wonderful stay. Sue and Terry are so friendly and nothing is to much for them. It is like home from home. The room was lovely with plenty of different teas and coffee to chose from with fresh milk if you wanted it which you certainly don't normally get. The breakfast was so big we didn't need to eat again until the evening. Terry does lovely scrambled egg, you have to give it a try! Excellent value for money. Would certainly recommend it and hope to go back again soon.
