Stunning National Trust property and country park. We tripped over this by accident and it was too late in the afternoon to fully appreciate it. Beautiful views and gardens. Lovely cool church. Riverside village setting. Will go back to fully appreciate it if in the area.

What a lovely place to walk along the river, plus a lovely tea room, I can recommend the Derbyshire tea loaf

Wonderful place for walks by the river. helpful National Trust volunteers on hand around the park to help you make the most of your visit. Many steps but worth the walk to see the views. continue by the river and down into the village over the stone bridge calling in at the church, which is interesting.

Stayed at the national trust caravan park for six nights. Staff were absolutely amazing and could not be more helpful. Quiet location and spent a good few hours at Dovedale which was absolutely fantastic. Could not recommend this site enough. Tea rooms were very clean and staff very friendly but £5 for a pastie was a bit steep!!! Excellent facilities. Access to the site is a bit tricky as the lanes are very narrow but hey ho what an experience
