We stayed in the 1 bedroom cottage. Beautiful location with stunning views from the garden. Very warm welcome with our name in parking bay and chocolate cake waiting in the cottage. The cottage is small but well equipped - nice bedroom and then combined kitchen/lounge with small dining table. Great for a long weekend for 2, perhaps a little small if staying for a week.
Walked and cycled direct from the house without needing the car.

Just returned from a wonderful mid week break. Well, this exceeded our expectations. We received a lovely warm welcome, the added touch of a personalised welcome sign with our name and parking space made us feel at home straight away as did the yummy home made cake thank you!!!. The cottage was very well equipped with anything you could need on your break. Sue and Terry ensured we knew they were available for anything we needed but at the same time gave us total privacy. The cottage is quaint with the added touch of interior window shutters which kept the cottage nice and cool in the hot weather. There was always plenty of hot water throughout the day and night. The bed was the most comfortable we have had in any holiday let and bedding and towels were spotless as was the cottage. The private garden was lovely and tranquil with great views and a haven for relaxing on lazy sunny days, the extended gardens are beautiful also with great views. We ordered a selection of foods from the farmhouse for our stay and they were there waiting in the fridge and much enjoyed. We would highly recommend the cottage and experience and are looking forward to our second visit over Christmas.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay in little Beechenhill Cottage! The bed is comfortable isn't it? I slept on the same type of mattress while staying away- came home and ordered two, one for my bed and one for Beechenhill Cottage, just so pleased that you enjoyed it! We are looking forward to seeing you again at Christmas (in very different weather I am sure!)

we arrived in driving rain to a very warm welcome, the cottage by the pond was well equipped and very clean.
Terry, Sue, Alex, Rob and Douglas were extremely friendly and helpful, the setting is amazing and the area itself a complete escape.
we are a family of six and the accommodation was excellent, freshly baked homemade bread, fresh milk from the lovely cows and eggs from the chickens every morning.
great walks and climbing thorpe cloud (twice) added to our wonderful break.
would highly recommend and will return without question.

Room Tip: explore the country side and watch the cows being milked

My partner and I stayed at beechenhill cottage, lovely little cosy 1 bed retreat! Upon arrival there was a beautiful chocolate cake for us to sit and eat after unpacking which may I add was "yummy" the views from the cottage were amazing and lovely to sit out in the evenings with your own private little garden and chimenia. The family were all lovely and very happy to help with anything we needed or wanted! It was great meeting Hatty and Gem too they certainly make you smile! Would definitely stay here again and even consider a wedding as it would be wonderful! Well worth staying at the lovely beechenhill farm x

I've never written a review of anywhere we've stayed before and there's a part of me that doesn't want to let people know just how special this place is - it might get too popular! My husband and I stayed at the end of May. The accommodation was outstanding, a small but perfect self catering cottage with everything you need. Including homemade cake on arrival.

The family could not have been more welcoming or helpful during the week. The views amazing, as were the walks and cycling. Loads to do, whatever the weather. And just sitting in the garden enjoying the view, listening to the birds and watching the cows go by was very peaceful. There was even an art exhibition on whilst we were there.

Thank you Sue and family, we look forward to returning.

We recently attended a family wedding at Beechenhill Farm, The location is breathtaking, what a wonderful place to get married.! The food was excellent and the friendliness of the staff was a breath of fresh air! My father became ill during the day and the host, Sue,went out of her way to help with the situation. Would highly recommend this wonderful place!

My very new husband and I had a wonderful wedding at Beechenhill Farm last month. And we plan to return to this very special part of the Peak District in years to come.
The family make you feel like their beautiful home is yours for the duration of your stay. And whether you stay in the cottages or the B&B the comfortable beds and peaceful surroundings will make you wish you could stay longer.
The rooms are all decorated to a high standard with original artwork by Sue Prince adding interesting and enjoyable detail. The hand painted ceiling in the cottage for 2 had us almost too distracted to gaze at the cows out of the window. Every detail seems to have been considered from eco friendly dishwasher soap in the cottages to homemade biscuits on your arrival- delicious. But the most delicious part of the stay for B&B guests is the cooked breakfast. Just fab! The porridge is great too- the best way to refuel for a day walking in the Peaks.
The Swedish hot tub is the perfect way to unwind with a drink and watch the sunset. The sauna is a hidden treasure.
And our wedding day was beyond our expectations. Thank you!
All in all, it is beautiful inside and out. What a gem!
