We had a 2 night stay at Peak District Spa which was absolutely lovely!! It was really good value and the rooms were wonderful - really clean and new with Eygptian cotton sheets and feather duvets and more like a boutique hotel in style than a bed and breakfast. The bathroom was small, but nevertheless, beautifully fitted out with marble floor and tiles.
Our room, bedroom 1, had a small balcony that overlooked the Peak District National Park where we opened a bottle of champagne and sat and watched the sun go down.
There is also a bar on site serving bar meals which we went to on the second night. The food was good, large portions using local produce, and the whole place had a really nice ambience. Also great being able to have a drink and not worry about driving home!!
I was a bit confused about the 'Spa' bit but apparently it's more of a wild spa and you can hire traditional Scandinavian hot tubs etc, so don't go expecting to get your nails polished... However, if you like walking, country pubs and you want to getaway from it all then this is a great place to stay. We'll definitely be back!!More
