Butterton is a beautiful village at the edge of the Peak National Park. Coxon Green Farm is an attractive 17th Century working farm. Janet and Ron could not have made us more welcome when our party of four stayed for two nights recently. The rooms are are spacious with on-suites and tea making facilities. The beds very comfortable. The atmosphere is relaxed and homely.
Breakfasts are exceptional and definately five star - and we are extensive travellers. Our hosts were engaging, very friendly and informative. It was good to learn about the history of the farm and farmhouse and about the breeding of Holsteins. An excellent place to stay.

Stayed for three nights at Coxon Green Farm, a large room with en suite. When we arrived Janet, the owner, was so welcoming and invited us to have tea and homemade cakes in her kitchen - a really nice touch. Janet and her husband, who breeds Holsteins, were absolutely delightful and nothing was too much trouble.

The room was spacious and well-equipped, perhaps slightly 'old fashioned' in decor but very clean, very comfortable and in fact it was a breath of fresh air from those often quite impersonal B&Bs in 'boutique' style.

Breakfast was homemade fresh fruit salad (delicious, with berries and interesting fruit, not just apple, orange, banana and grapes!), cereals, toast, full English etc around one large dining table.

Butterton is a small pretty village with a ford and set in beautiful countryside. We really loved our stay here.
