We stayed in cabin #3 for four nights.

As others have said, the location is perfect. A very close drive to town and yet far enough away to feel like you're in the middle of nature. On two nights when we returned to the cabin after being out all day, there were deer playing around it.

The cabin was very well equipped and very comfortable. Cooking/kitchen equipment included: coffee maker, kettle, small fridge (which was more than enough for our needs), a counter-top convection oven (we used it to both bake and broil) and a hotplate (or maybe two?). Also included were plates, coffee cups, wine glasses, utensils, knives, pots, etc. Dish detergent was also provided. Pretty much everything we needed to have dinner in when we didn't feel like going out. There was also a full-size BBQ on our deck which we used on several nights. We ran out of gas one night and Dan replaced it with a full take immediately.

Donna did a great job of suggesting things to see when we first arrived (including attractions like the Wolf Talk which aren't officially advertised and which were the most scenic local hikes) and we followed a number of her suggestions. She also was extremely helpful in telling us the best way to get our clothes laundered (we'd just come off a 6 day kayak trip and had a lot of dirty stuff), pointing out good restaurants and mapping out key places like the grocery store.

Others have described the cabins so I won't go into too much detail. But I will say that the bed was extremely comfortable and the rest of the furnishings provided everything we needed to have a very restful and comfortable stay. The bathroom had several very beautiful touches (loved the stone bowl sink and modern black tap). In addition to the bed, Cabin #3 had two sofa/lounge chairs with foot rests, a small dining/kitchen table and a chest of drawers. Just what we were looking for.

Great place and great owners! We would stay here again without any hesitation.

Ecoscape Cabins were the perfect option for our getaway to the North Island. Clean, modern, comfortable and exceptionally welcoming, the cabin was perfect for what we needed. Beautiful views of the ocean, great service, and well worth the 10 minute drive into town.

We had a great fishing/catching trip with Ecoscape cabin #2 as our base camp. Donna had recommended Larry Weber of Leisuresuit Charters as our fishing guide. This was truly a trip of a lifetime! We fished four days in a row with the ocean flat calm. We caught our limit of beautiful king salmon and halibut. The largest Spring was just under 40pounds. Larry did a fantastic job of altering his tactics to get the fish to bite. He also had us catching shallow water (70 feet or less) halibut on salmon gear! Every night we enjoyed cooking part of our catch on our cabins barbecue while watching eagles soar overhead. The cabin is beautiful and fully furnished for a great visit. Donna was extremely helpful and informative.

For many years we wanted to do the BC ferry trip up the Inside Passage. What a way to start, our first night in Cabin #4 before heading out next morning on the ferry. It is only a 5 minute trip to the ferry dock and transport is easily arranged if you are not taking your car.
Fast forward, we're back after several days of tremendous adventure to northern BC and move into Cabin#6 for a couple days of R&R. The cabin, conveniently located near the firepit and "The Hammock" was so relaxing. Dan has created a soothing waterfall that runs in front of the cabins and will lull you to sleep if the comfy mattress doesn't get you first. Donna has some interesting artifacts in her little shop and my wife didn't even feel
the need to go to town. Friendly accommodating hosts, comfy beds and picturesque
surroundings........what more could you ask for?

Room Tip: Cabins 4-5-6 have the waterfall in front

My wife and I stayed in Cabin #4 for one night as we were to depart on the BC Ferry for Prince Rupert the next morning. The cabins are extremely well-built, very clean, very stylish, and built with environmental conservation in mind. The landscape (recycling) waterfall running in front of our cabin provided a soothing effect as we sat out on the front porch and watched the sun set. The owners were extremely friendly and talked with us about the best ways to get to and from the town and the Ferry -- as we did not arrive by car. The cabins offered an excellent alternative to staying in a hotel.

We stayed for one night - excellent welcome and advice on local attractions - the weather was poor but despite this we had a great relaxing evening on our veranda. We enjoyed watching the humming birds and saw bears and cubs on the roadside coming in. Plenty of snacks made available for us and also the accommodation was comfortable and private. Not much open in Port Hardy on Monday evenings. The ferry trip to Bella Coola was excellent with sightings of Orcas, Humpbacks, porpoises, bald eagles and great coastline made eerie by the morning mist.
