We had a wonderful time at Great Bear Lodge even though the weather was cold and wet. The gear that we are given keeps you quite snug and clothes can be put in the drier when you return so you have dry clothing for your next trip. The location is truly amazing and when the weather is nice you can sit on the deck and watch the humming birds which is great fun. The float plane trip was really exciting and it was lovely being met be all the staff when we arrived. The food was delicious thanks to Glen and Meghan and Emma where brilliant guides. It is expensive but a really exceptional experience so don't regret a penny of it.We saw bears on most of our trips out and they even swam across the water in front of us on two occasions which was quite emotional. My only regret was that we didn't have long enough there and that Tom didn't tell enough stories!
