We've stayed here a number of times over the past 40 years. The management these days is the best its ever been. A nice effort is being made to retain the historical ambiance of the place and yet keep it clean and very professional. The mountain/lake setting is as good as it gets. The curry dish in the dinning room is outstanding!

We stayed in two different rooms during our visit. We had booked a king size bed, lake view before our trip. As we got closer, we wanted to add a night but all they had was a queen, back side of property. Surprisingly, we liked the back side better. We were in a corner room and still got to see a bit of the lake and the room was much bigger. The wind didn't hit us like it did later with the lake side room which was extremely tiny. You can enjoy the view from comfortable chairs in the lobby and then have a quiet bigger room with a decent sized bathroom for less money if you choose the queen bed, no lake view. Although we enjoyed both rooms, we would recommend not splurging for lake side unless you spring for a suite. You get plenty of ambience from the lobby and it is a wonderful place to sit and take in the view. The staff were wonderful and we really enjoyed our stay.

Online this hotel looks amazing, however it needs a serious upgrade in some specific areas of the rooms. It was quaint and historic which was very nice, but the details specifically in the bathrooms, carpeting and in room amenities could use some serious thought. I would happily stay here for half the price they charge and feel good about my stay. At the current rates, this is a one time, check it off of your list stay until they make some changes.

Facility and location cannot be topped. A scenic and uncrowded addition to Glacier Park. Last summer's forest fire unfortunately left several local roads closed. Limited exploration opportunities. Apparently no plans to reopen these roads this season?

Beautiful lodge with fantastic staff. Bronson made check in delightful, Kevin fun to chat with at the bar, our tea server professional and nice to my teenagers, the concierge had great advice on hiking.
