What a lovely experience...the Inn, the staff, the food, Waterton Lake and the region! We stayed 3 nights in late May and were astonished by the raw beauty, abundant wildlife, and wildflowers of Waterton International Peace Park. We hiked everyday, and can't wait to go back!

Recently stayed at the Bayshore Inn in Waterton National Park which is one of our favourite places within a 2 hour drive from our home.
Our room(208) was supposed to come with a lake view but all we could see was part of the marina area and lots of trees. So much for a lake view. We were told that we would have a nice view of the Prince of Wales hotel but the view was obstructed by poplar trees. Room 208 does not have any lake view which we paid extra for!
The room itself was clean and all appliances were functional. We had a small 'fridge which was handy for storing soft drinks. Only negative comment other than the obstructed view was our toilet seat which was loose and required repairs. Please note that smoking is forbidden within 50 feet of the hotel and you are looking at a $500 fine (as posted) if you smoke in your room or balcony.

Room Tip: Please ask for a room which has unrestricted views of the lake.

Our plans in May changed, then I remembered the May in Waterton Park e-mail (info@bayshoreinn.com) --- Bayshore Inn Resort -- Spring Special -- a room as well as breakfast and dinner for two in the Lakeside Chophouse. We called Tuesday morning and were there (with friends) Wednesday, May 21, 2014 . This was our 5th stay at the Bayshore. The lakefront room was very comfortable and of course had a great view ! Dinner the first night was fantastic -- lots to choose from --- I had a great salad, steak, and the best apple pie I have had in a long time ! One of the highlights that evening was our server Liam --- he was knowledgeable, very personable and a very good sport. Breakfast next morning was very good, again lots to choose from, and Liam was there for us again ! We were having such a good time we decided to stay another night ! The second day was very relaxing and in the early evening we ended up in the lounge -- challenged the server with a request for Long Island Ice Teas which she made from scratch !!! We are sure she has learned how to make them now ! While we were there we had the opportunity to listen in to how the staff were being trained --- customer service, attention to details and having detailed knowledge about their products appeared to be key and it was evident in all of the staff we talked to. It was so nice to have staff that were friendly and really showed they were loving their work and genuinely interested in their customers ! The second dinner was very good, our server ( I believe it was Robin ) was extremely knowledgeable and attentive and although the dessert was different that night he was able to get us apple pie again! At breakfast on Friday morning we had a very personable server and got the chance to see Liam again. We were able to observe the manager and he was so good with the staff. We are looking forward to stay # 6 (maybe as early as fall 2014). We recommend getting on their e-mail list for "specials", important dates and general information.

Room Tip: Lakefront room is very nice …

We booked a romance package on a Saturday which technically is not allowed during the peak season, but Barbara was nice to allow it since the season is just starting. Room was neat, spacious and with a great view. The restaurant had good food, but the service was great, Our two servers, Robin and Chantelle really made us feel welcome. Thanks guys

Room Tip: always book a room on top floor. Quiet and better view

This review is late coming, but it know the Bayshore will be opening for the season soon, and I wanted to say a few very positive words..! My Fiancé, now husband and I had a Wedding at the Bayshore early October/2013. It was absolutely top notch, from the fantastic staff, Shie, the event planner, the owner, the bartender, the restaurant staff, to the front desk, fantastic people,
The meal we had for the reception, We could not have gotten a meal that tasty with the quality in the city for twice the price. Our location overlooked the lake, so stepping outside during the evening, was magical,
It was so beautiful, peaceful, and everything went perfectly, so very personal.
I would not change ONE detail to our day or location. pictures from that location were fantastic so many places to chose.
We do plan on going back just to see the staff now friends this coming summer, staying at least one evening, and enjoying another fantastic meal.
Enjoying the location, hiking, biking, and just being at peace with the beautiful location...!

Room Tip: Ask to face the lake, sitting out enjoying your first coffee in the morning, is breathtaking.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights as part of overall visit to Glacier & Waterton park.

The hotel is an updated motel facility that has great curbside appeal with hanging baskets, wood exterior against the trees that line the lake.

The day to day aspects of the hotel is run by students from abroad who were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed in one of the king size rooms (may have been a suite) on the first floor in the corner along the small park & lake towards the boat slip. The room was quite spacious, the bathroom was nice but the room's overall appearance was 'dated' and the deck was full of spider webs and in need of a little repair.

That said, the air in the room worked okay and we had a pleasant stay as we were out & about mostly anyhow.

Rooms are pricey but there are a small number of hotels in town and this appeared to be one of the better ones based on reviews and observations while there this fall.

The location was great with walking access to all the town restaurants, shops and harbor.
