“Sitting on the balcony.....”
Reviewed 15 July 2014

...at the end of a day of touring was just perfect. We sat and watched the river flow by. The location is ideal as it is in the center of town. An evening stroll to the falls should not be missed. You can easily walk to some wonderful hiking trails (you really can see forever from the top) or to visit the Prince of Wales Hotel out on the bluff.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the back with a balcony and that wonderful view of the river.

Here with a Caravan tour group. Rooms were fine. Easy walking distance to all the shops, restaurants and marina. Not too long a walk from the Cameron Falls and the beach. Would stay here again if we were back on our on.

I just figure when you go to a lovely National Park such as Waterton to take in and enjoy the outdoors and scenery, therefore, spending few hours in your hotel, you should at least be able to get a good night's sleep - particularly when you are spending a few hundred dollars. Between the tour groups bustling in the early hours and rolling their luggage in their rooms, on the 2nd floor landing, in the parking lot and talking to other tour bus customers; and guests in the unit above us (we were ground floor) doing a jig before dawn in their size 20 steel-toed boots, we probably got about 7 hours sleep over two nights, about $60-70 per hour.

The other downside is the parking of the tour buses on the hotel lot which reduced much of the prime location parking for other guests.

On the plus side, very comfortable bed and linens.

Ground floor lake view was generally masked by the mature trees along the shoreline.

Room Tip: DO NOT STAY IN GROUND FLOOR UNIT (unless of course you are the one doing the early morning jig). Ho...

The Inn is not new but the beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. We were on the second floor with a view of the parking lot but it was still quiet. We stayed for two nights with a large tour group. The hotel is situated right next to the lake. It couldn't be in a nicer spot. The staff was helpful and friendly. I hope that I can return someday.

Room Tip: Ask for a lake view.

What a lovely experience...the Inn, the staff, the food, Waterton Lake and the region! We stayed 3 nights in late May and were astonished by the raw beauty, abundant wildlife, and wildflowers of Waterton International Peace Park. We hiked everyday, and can't wait to go back!

Recently stayed at the Bayshore Inn in Waterton National Park which is one of our favourite places within a 2 hour drive from our home.
Our room(208) was supposed to come with a lake view but all we could see was part of the marina area and lots of trees. So much for a lake view. We were told that we would have a nice view of the Prince of Wales hotel but the view was obstructed by poplar trees. Room 208 does not have any lake view which we paid extra for!
The room itself was clean and all appliances were functional. We had a small 'fridge which was handy for storing soft drinks. Only negative comment other than the obstructed view was our toilet seat which was loose and required repairs. Please note that smoking is forbidden within 50 feet of the hotel and you are looking at a $500 fine (as posted) if you smoke in your room or balcony.

Room Tip: Please ask for a room which has unrestricted views of the lake.
