Waterton is a beautiful town and there is lots to see and do. Due to reconstruction after the fire many sites were closed and it was prior to the official opening date. We did get to see Cameron Falls! Unfortunately, our trip was cut short as we had intended to stay 2 days to visit family and see the sights. The town was quiet and slow for business so would have been perfect for a family visit. Too bad it wasn't mutual. . The cotton from the trees blew around like snow and gathered in the nooks and crannies of sidewalks and doorways. We saw deer wander through town, nibbling on the grass and occasionally glancing at we, the intruders. A look up at the mountainsides reveal how close the fires came to nearly destroying the homes and town of Waterton. It is a realization too, of how the homes of the many animals has been altered again.
