“The food it pretty bad”
Reviewed 21 May 2014

We are locals who have been to the Saviry Bight about a half a dozen times. We have honestly never had a good meal here. Last visit had the fish special, which was $22. Fish so overcooked it wasn't just dry but was hard at the edges. Came with "salad", which was some half-wilted supermarket greens with grated carrot and a few rings of onion on top. Any rice or potato is extra. The patio is nice but when we were there was blindingly sunny. Few tables have shade umbrellas. Ours did but kept rotating and wouldn't stay in place so was virtually useless. Every time we come here we swear we won't be back. Due to a lack of good dining options in Powell River (there are some good restaurants but we also seek variety), we return every once and a while, but invariably are disappointed.

“Not so Savoury food and the service Bights!”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

This restaurant was unbelievably bad! Went to enjoy the patio and have lunch with a girlfriend, problem was you can't get the lunch menu until1:30!(we arrived there at 12:30) being patient we waited and promptly ordered our food at 1:30 sharp! More tables came in and were seated around us, they start receiving their food but yet we sat there waiting for 45mins! At this point the waitress is nowhere to be found so we go inside to see what is going on and she informs us that the other tables ordered appetizers and that is why they got there food first....we ordered chicken wings and a burger....if I'm not mistaken these are not complicated dishes to make! Lack of customer service, endless excuses,no accountability and overpriced dry chicken wings are enough to never visit this restaurant again!!

“Perfect setting”
Reviewed 7 January 2014

This restaurant sit overlooking the ocean. The outdoor patio is excellent with one big round table with a fireplace inset in the middle. We ate at that table and the humpback whales gave us a show through the whole meal! The food is average, not the greatest but not the worst, but the setting is worth it.

“Great Bight”
Reviewed 14 October 2013

Good basic food as part of the "Hidden Gem" Beach Gardens Resort. Perfect for boaters trying to get in from a storm or cruisin' by on a hot summer day. Large portions and good drinks and views of the water, particularly from the patio, that are second to none and unique to the area. You"ll find as many locals here as tourists which means to me it must be consistent. Great place for a couple of brews and a bite after a hard days fishing

“no stars here”
Reviewed 14 October 2013

Long wait for service. tough meat and the fresh beets were merely warmed up. They were so hard you could not cut them. When we brought it to a server's attention we got a shrug and then were ignored. I hope they have improved in the last few years.
