We arrived by boat and rented cabin #5 as two couples for four nights. We were doing day trips into Desolation Sound and this was the perfect base camp. It was quite a hike up from the dock with food and gear for four days, but well worth the sweat. Josephine helped us as much as she could but it was mostly trail & stairs uphill to get to the cabin. The views from the cabins are amazing. When we walked in, the table was set with napkins in the wine glasses - most impressive. There were other little extras as well. We cook a lot and the kitchen (actually, the whole cabin) was extremely clean and very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were of good quality. Someone came by each morning to see if we needed anything. We had our own kayaks, but there were a number of them available at no cost which was a nice touch. Okeover Arm is a stellar place to kayak. There are oysters for picking on the shoreline and the cabins are all equiped with shucking supplies. We opted for the first class Laughing Oyster Restaurant which is a 10 minute walk from the resort. This is a don't miss!!! If possible, hit it on a steak & seafood buffet night. There was so much seafood not one of us ordered the steak which was included. We happened...We arrived by boat and rented cabin #5 as two couples for four nights. We happened to arrive on a Thursday and most of the cabins did not fill up until Friday, so we checked out the views from a number of cabin decks. They were all different but equally as impressive. It's pricey but overall it was worth it.More
